In this course, students will be able to deepen their understanding of locally available basketry materials and fundamental techniques. We will learn how to harvest and process local plants that can be easily found in backyards, urban neighborhoods, and other natural areas, with an emphasis on invasive species. Additionally, there will be hands-on demonstrations of key basketry techniques, such as cordage, braiding, weaving, twining, coiling, plaiting, and twill. This course is well-suited for those with basketry experience at all levels (including beginners) who want to learn how to identify, harvest, process, and use the wide variety of plants nature has to offer in Peterborough and the surrounding areas. Students are also welcome to bring any materials from their own foraging. Throughout the course, students will make 4-5 baskets from a variety of materials using various techniques.

I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums. Mini Farmers - You and your child ages 2-5 will learn the basics of how to feed, care for and interact with bunnies, chickens and horses in a fun and relaxed environment. Enjoy farm centered songs, stories and sensory activities as well as a meet and greet with a different animal each week. ($40 per 4 week session)

Pony Pals - Drop off your child ages 6-11 to learn all about horses and horse care. We will learn about feeding, grooming, leading, anatomy and horse health. Participants will have the opportunity to ride one time during the session. Bring a lunch. ($80 per 4 week session)
