Successful completion allows application for a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL / Restricted PAL).Ages 12 years and up are welcome (minors are able to take the non-restricted course only). Delivered in Grovedale by experienced, A.H.E.I.A. certified instructors. Small class sizes allow for one-on-one instruction during the hands-on portion of the course.
We do offer private group courses. The art contains twelve forms (kata) and were developed in part by Shimizu Takaji and by a committee tasked with the creation of a compact Jōdō system to be taught mainly in Kendo dojo. The result was the Zen Ken Renmei Seitei Jōdō system containing twelve forms (kata) and twelve basic techniques (kihon).
It is a great champion art for those doing other forms of Japanese Martial Arts.
Both the basic techniques and forms are drawn primarily from the koryu martial art Shinto Muso-ryu. The kata were chosen from the three first series of SMR, Omote, chudan and Ran ai as they were seen to best represent the art. Ten of these kata were taken from the existing SMR kata but with minor modifications as to better suit the requirements of the Kendo Federation. The two other kata was created specifically for the new Seitei Jōdō system and was not part of the original SMR-system. Seitei Jodo is today taught as a part of the Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei (All Japan Kendo Federation).

On site certification up to 8-ton lift capacity in Alberta, 5.5 Tons in Saskatchewan and 5-Tons in B.C.
We bring the one-day training program to your facility and use your equipment to keep the familiarity to the operators.A brief outline of what is delivered:
Weight capacity - Up to 8-tons in Alberta (that is the weight restriction set out by the apprenticeship board in AB.)
Certification provided - 3-year renewable, wallet card and certificate are sent 24-hours after training to you for your records and printing. We do not charge for lost or mis-placed certs as you will have the file on hand.
End of day summary - we provide a PDF copy to you for your files, a training summary (photos, etc.), many companies also provide this to their customers as proof of training, etc.
Crane specific pre-use checklist - Insurance, OHS as well as regulations state must be used prior to shift or use of crane.
You will receive this in an editable word document for your records/files.
Factory Trained Instructor (Me) - I have been trained at the following factories: HIAB, Palfinger and Fassi cranes.COURSE OUTLINE:
3.5 hour morning theory session (Standards, regulations, insurance, crane layout load chart, stabilizer pad types, ground support, etc.)
Afternoon practical evaluation - we use a series of pylons without weight as the obstacle course itself is a challenge and we evaluate the operator based on 3 core competencies learned in the AM theory.PRICING:

A Canadian Firearms Safety Course will be held in Moose Jaw on Saturday, March 23rd. This is a one day course for the Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) for non-restricted firearms (hunting rifles and shotguns). A restricted firearms license course (RPAL for handguns and restricted rifles) will be held on Sunday, March 24th. You must have completed the PAL course and be 18 for the RPAL course. At the end of the day you will complete a written and practical test and upon successful completion you will receive the paperwork to apply for your PAL or RPAL. The courses are at the South Saskatchewan Wildlife Assoc range (276 Home St East, Moose Jaw), the cost of each is $125.
