I recently became ill with Covid-19 and ended up in Foothills hospital. I am on the mend but have no supports and one thing that helps me to pass the time is beading and coloring as well as journaling. I know that is a long shot and I am not expecting anyone to go out of their way but I have all my beading things but am an in need of beading thread and snacks or anything. All my supports and friends are unable to help me. I am currently at Foothills hospital and you can contact me via here or call my room number at 403-944-6139. If you are to drop things off you have to go to the McCaig Tower 3134 Hospital Dr NW and call 403-944-6664 and a nurse will come and meet you. I have never done anything like this is my life but I need support to pass the time and to keep my mind positive. Thank you for just taking your time to read this and please stay safe and healths. I would even be willing to make something for you in return or etransfer the funds, truthfully if I could go get the things myself I would.

We are conducting an online research study to better understand how physical distancing is impacting people’s mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. While isolated from others, many people are using smartphones to keep in touch and engage with others. With the use of a special app, we can begin to understand how people are saying socially connected through calling, messaging, and app usage. Understanding healthy social behaviour during the pandemic can help minimize the negative consequences of physical distancing. We are looking for people to join our study!
Who can Participate? We are looking for people aged 15 years and up to participate in the study. You do not need to be diagnosed with a mental disorder to participate in the study. Everyone is welcome!
Will you be reimbursed for your time? Participants will receive $40 for filling out the questionnaires and working with our app for one month. We will ask participants to fill out questionnaires again after three months. So, if you complete the study you will receive $60.
Please register using the following link, so that we can send you more information about what it will mean to take part in the current research study: COVID19-prosit.info
A staff member from our research team is available to answer any questions you have about the study at our toll-free number 1-833-905-0314 or by email at PROSIT@iwk.nshealth.ca.

YES Canada is seeking host families in the Renfrew County area to host international high school students from France and Italy for a 2 or 3 month program beginning in April 2021. Becoming a host family is a great way to experience another culture at home and to have a truly enriching experience.
International students plan their study abroad program months in advance and pursue the experience to learn about our culture and language and to build lifelong relationships with their host family and peers while attending high school. Students have been accepted to study at a local high school and continue to be committed to experience their study abroad opportunity and are aware that their program will take place amid a different environment in light of Covid-19.
We have adapted our programming to adjust to the new environment for students and host families presented by Covid-19. Guidance will be provided to students and host families throughout the process both prior to arrival and throughout the program and our team are available to answer questions and provide information. Students are also required to comply with all Government of Canada and Public Health requirements during Covid-19 including a 14-day quarantine upon arrival and testing both prior to departure and upon arrival in Canada.
We believe that purposeful travel is an important part of what connects and unites us, and the exchange program can continue to build a universal understanding and connection in these unique times. We know that the host family experience is key to providing an enriching cultural and language experience, and provides for a comforting home away from home to students embarking on this journey and builds lifelong bonds.
Why Host?
As a host family, you can contribute to this experience for the student and also have your own rewarding experience. Not only do you and your family get to learn about a different culture, you also get to share yours! We ask that host families provide 3 meals a day, a safe nurturing environment and welcome the student into your family’s daily lifestyle. Host families are compensated with a monthly stipend for doing so. If you are interested in sharing in this experience and hosting an international high school student or would like to learn more about our homestay program and how we are responding to the impacts of Covid-19, please contact YES Canada at the email address or phone number below:

Hello my name is Shelly Laliberte. I am a member of the group called helping hand initiative, for those that don’t know we put events on every Sunday for the homeless. At these events we hand out soup, care packages, bagged lunches and any clothing donations we receive. Our events are held at 3pm every Sunday at the outreach center on central. This group is made up of local parents who came together in hopes to make a difference in our community. We do not receive any sort of funding for what we do, all of this is out of the kindness in our hearts and any momentary donations we received along the way. We really enjoy these events and don’t want them to end anytime soon. So I am reaching out to the community for any and all support you can give.
You can respond to this ad or call/text 1639 998 9371 anytime to donate.
Any adult clothing, blankets, hygiene, winter wear and books is greatly appreciated!
Thank you all for your hand in helping those in our community.

Hi there,
Helping out my auntie time to time and her funds are usually limited as the rent is really high, plus a majority of her money goes to food when her grandkids (my nephews) come for visits.
We're wondering if you had any extra food items such as: meat, cereal, milk, canned food, flour and baking powder, pretty much anything. Maybe you also have a coffee maker collecting dust? She'd love that, too.
Delivery would be awesome, but pick up could be arranged. I'm laid off and didn't get enough hours for EI. Odd jobs are good, but haven't had much luck lately.
I'm willing to help out with odd jobs or cleaning in exchange.
Located in Prince Albert.
Thank you very much.

We are conducting an online research study to better understand how social distancing is impacting people’s mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. While isolated from others, many people are using smartphones to keep in touch and engage with others. With the use of a special app, we can begin to understand how people are saying socially connected through calling, messaging, and app usage. Understanding healthy social behaviour during the pandemic can help minimize the negative consequences of social distancing. We are looking for people to join our study!
Who can Participate? We are looking for people who are ages 15 and older to participate in the study.
Please register using the following link, so that we can send you more information about what it will mean to take part in the current research study: ww.covid19-prosit.info
A staff member from our research team is available to answer any questions you have about the study at our toll-free number 1-833-905-0314 or by email at PROSIT@iwk.nshealth.ca
