When buying alpacas there are a few important things to keep in mind.
1) Alpacas are herd animals, you must have at least three of the same sex, four is better. They are not meant to be companions to other livestock. They are not pets.
2) Male alpacas should not be kept in the same pasture as females. Males will often try to continually breed the female which can result in uterine infections and stress.
3) You should never have just one alpaca.
4) Crias (baby alpacas) should not be sold without their mother before the age of 6 months, they should be sold with another alpaca they know. Young males should not be put in with older males until they are mature and physically large enough to be defend themselves.
5) Alpacas are not guard animals, llamas are guard animals
6) Alpacas must be sheared every spring, nails trimmed as needed.
It is important to buy from a reputable breeder, someone who has been in the business a while and has taken the time to learn as much as possible about alpacas. We are glad to have you come visit to discuss alpacas before you buy.

Happy family of healthy Nigerian Dwarf Goats is looking for new home. Mother and father are not related and baby goat is their first litter.Mother did great birthing and will be ready to get pregnant sometime in Summer. Baby goat was born September 23.Father is very social and loves attention and scratches.Mother is a bit shy,but will approach if interested. Baby acts like a kid :)) running around,following father,bugging cows.He is not drinking milk any more. They eat vegetables,grass,and goat mix in winter. I would want them to go all together. Annabeth, Registered Miniature Babydoll black yearling ewe, was born in February 2023. She is small like her parents, her dad was only 22” tall and Clover, her mom was a short 21”.
Her mom, Clover is exceptional because her wool has stayed black while most ‘black’ Babydolls lighten quickly to grey or brown. Annabeth is like her mom and is still black under the red sunbleached tips. This makes for a spectacular dark fleece and the Babydoll wool is so soft. She is a bit shy but typical of the food motivated Babydolls she quickly warms up to you if you have food and with one on one time and food bribery she'll become quite tame, I just haven't spent the time with her.
Babydoll sheep are perfect for the first time sheep owner with their delightful, friendly personalities. They are easy to handle and care for and always have a welcoming smile for you.
