Dear Hamster Lovers across Canada,
Lavender Meadows Hamstery is an ethical hamstery in Vancouver, BC breeding Syrian hamsters to better their temperament, health, and physical type. We’re excited to announce that we offer live shipping across Canada. Of course, adopters will be vetted carefully and will be required to fill out an application. Please read this description to learn more about us! Shipping of the hamster will cost between 30-100 CAD depending on where you are in Canada. Most provinces cost $60 but pickup in Vancouver is at no cost.
We work specifically with rex hamsters and long haireds, in the colors of chocolate, rust, black, golden, yellow, and silver grey, and will be working with extreme dilute (import from US in May 2024) and polywhite rex (import from China in June 2024).
Our waitlist is open to all hamster lovers in Canada. We do have strict expectations for hamster care though. Our hamsters are known for their chunky self (they hit 200g+ plus), and sassy, unique, and calm personalities.
We run off of a waitlist. Baby hamsters will be chosen at 4 weeks old and then at 6-8 weeks old will be able to go to their new homes. Our hamsters eat seed mix and lab blocks but also tons of human-grade foods including chicken, salmon, tuna, shrimp, kale, cucumber, carrots, and cabbage. Our hamsters have a drastic difference from those in pet stores because of their natural good temperament and their physical body type (bigger and broader face). We differ from pet stores because our hamsters are not from rodent mills and are not bred for profit. Our adopters have expressed great joy in the friendliness and longevity of our pups in contrast to pet store hamsters. We run off of a waitlist where the wait time is 2-5 months to ensure proper breeding practice. Read more in our website about how we care for our hamsters but this ad will explain how one would begin the adoption process.
The process:
1. Fill out the adoption application (link below). Message us on any of our platforms to speed up the reply process. There is a $15 non-refundable deposit that must be paid to hold your spot on the waitlist. This is deposit after we respond to your application (usually same day)2. During the waiting period, adopters are expected to research hamster care and gather the necessary supplies. We have an online shop for supplies!
3. When the pups are ready for adoption, you will be either matched with a pup or be able to choose. Pups are matched based on personalities and what you are looking for. All pups are usually well-socialized and great with handling. The total adoption fee is $80, with $15 deposit and the $65 remaining is to be paid at the time of adoption. An adoption contract is to be signed at the time of adoption. **adoption fee is negotiable in specific circumstances.

I am moving from Kelowna to Vancouver sometime in the summer to study. I likely cannot take my bunnies with me as most rental places won’t accept them. The bun with brown spots all over is Miggy, he’s 3.5 years old and neutered. The white bun with dark ears is Darla, she’s 2 years and 8 months old and spayed. Fun fact: Miggy is Darlas dad! I cherish my bunnies very much and am super sad to let them go but it is what it is. Ideally after I’m done school I would be able to take them back. Not too sure though. Mes petits sont dotés d'une grande intelligence et d'une gentillesse incomparable tout comme leurs adorables parents.
La Gata, la maman, ma magnifique savannah de 1 an est intelligente, joueuse, curieuse et hyper affectueuse. Elle nous accueille comme un chien à notre arrivée à la maison et nous suit partout ensuite! Pour elle, toutes les occasions sont bonnes pour interagir avec ses humains.
El Gato, le papa, est un gros mâle de 1 an et ½. Très robuste, élégant et jasant! Il adore se faire caresser, particulièrement la bedaine! D’ailleurs, dès qu’il nous voit arriver dans une pièce, il se jette sur le dos pour recevoir nos câlins et fait des « pattes » dans les airs!
Les deux parents sont en excellente santé et possèdent de belles proportions et attributs typique des savannahs. Ils sont des membres de notre famille et font partie intégrante de notre vie.
Mes chatons sont élevés à même notre vie familiale et ils sont habitués avec les enfants, les chiens de grande et de petite taille. Ils sont manipulés quotidiennement et recherchent avec grand plaisir notre compagnie. Ils sont propres dans la litière et continuent de recevoir une éducation de la part de leurs deux parents qui s’en occupent merveilleusement bien.
* Informations sur la race savannah :
- Avec ses couleurs vibrantes et ses spots noirs (ou taches noires), qui ressemblent à son ancêtre, le Serval, le chat Savannah ne passe pas inaperçu dans un salon. Impossible de ne pas tomber en symbiose avec lui lorsqu’on découvre son intelligence supérieure et son élégance semblables aux majestueux félins exotiques.
- Son énergie et sa loyauté lui donnent le surnom de « chat-chien ». Il est également réputé pour être le plus grand chat au monde, il n’est pas rare de le rencontrer en laisse avec son maître. Comme son ancêtre, il adore l’eau et est un fin chasseur.

Bonjour a tous, J'ai 4 chatons persan de disponible. Ils ont pleins d'amour a partager. J'ai 3 de couleur brun et 1 de couleur gris, le gris est un chinchilla silver shaded. Elle a les sous poil blanc.
Les chatons sont propres, ils mangent du royal canin pour chatons. Ils sont libre dans la maison.
Je leur ai deja donner un vermifuge.
Si vous voulez reserver un chaton, vous pouvez le faire au coup de 50$ déductible sur le prix du chaton et non remboursable. Je les laisse partir autour du 1er avril, mais ca peut etre avant ou apres.

Meet Jenna who is 1.5 years old and 16 kgs of sweetness . She was abandoned on the streets in puerto vallarta with her siblings and was unfortunately being hit by a man when someone called the shelter patrol . They were taken to the shelter and we now have taken rosita into our foster program . She will be available to fly to victoria April or May . Jenna is excellent with all dogs kids and cats . She is of course spayed and has had all her vaccines blood work stool samples dewoming and any treatment done . Her adoption fee covers all . Jenna loves car rides cuddles and playing with her toys .
