Elle a été partenaire de notre belle histoire, on l'aime de tout notre coeur, mais il est temps pour notre famille de plonger dans le prochain chapitre.
Voici son histoire avec nous:
Achetée en 2017, cuisine refait entièrement à ce moment.
2020: La covid frappe, on ne travaille pas pendant quelques mois et on décide de se lancer dans le plus gros chantier de notre vie. On a dénudé la structure (pièce sur pièce) afin de remettre à neuf. Réparation des pièces de bois endommagées, isolation complète des murs extérieurs, changement de toutes les fenêtres (sauf celle de la cuisine et les trois du sous-sol), toutes les portes (sauf celle du sous-sol), pose du nouveau revêtement extérieur, et construction des deux galeries avec leurs garde-soleil. À noter que seuls les travaux de déconstruction et de pose d'isolant ont été faits par nous, tous les gros travaux ont été faits par un entrepreneur.
2021: Pose d'une thermopompe
2022: Rénovation partielle de l'étage et ajout d'une salle d'eau.
2023/2024: Pose de gouttières neuves, finition du sous-sol. Ajout d'un salon et d'une chambre.
Depuis notre arrivée à Saint-Damien, l'environnement a beaucoup changé. Deux magnifiques sentiers pédestres se sont construits juste à côté de la maison. Un parc de jeux d'eau pour enfant et un sentier d'hébertisme ont vu le jour en 2024. Tous deux à moins de 500 mètres de la maison.
Le quartier est idéal pour une jeune famille, la rue tranquille offre aux enfants la possibilité de jouer au hockey ou au ballon dans la rue en toute quiétude. Il y a 120 places en CPE à distance de marche. La toute nouvelle école primaire a ouvert ses portes en octobre 2024 elle est aussi à distance de marche, située juste en face de l'école secondaire et de l'aréna. Vous pourrez ne jamais prendre votre auto pour faire les transports de votre enfant de la garderie à la fin de son secondaire.
Le terrain sur un coin de rue offre une vue sur la rivière, plusieurs belles possibilités d'aménagement afin de rendre le terrain plus intime si désiré.

2020: Covid strikes, we don't work for a few months and we decide to start the biggest project of our lives. The structure was stripped (piece by piece) in order to refurbish. Repair of damaged pieces of wood, complete insulation of the exterior walls, change of all the windows (except the one in the kitchen and the three in the basement), all the doors (except the one in the basement), installation of the new exterior cladding, and construction of the two galleries with their sun blinds. Note that only the deconstruction and insulation installation work was done by us, all major work was done by a contractor
.2021: Installation of a heat pump
2022: Partial renovation of the first floor and addition of a bathroom.
2023/2024: Installation of new gutters, finishing the basement. Addition of a living room and a bedroom.
Since our arrival in Saint-Damien, the environment has changed a lot. Two magnificent hiking trails have been built right next to the house. A water park for children and a hebertism trail were created in 2024. Both less than 500 meters from the house.
The neighborhood is ideal for a young family, the quiet street offers children the opportunity to play hockey or ball in the street in peace and quiet. There are 120 places in CPE within walking distance. The brand new elementary school opened in October 2024, it is also within walking distance, located just in front of the high school and the arena. You may never take your car to transport your child from daycare to the end of high school
.The land on a street corner offers a view of the river, several beautiful development possibilities in order to make the land more intimate if desired.
