I have been playing drums, guitar, and bass for over 20 years, and have recorded, performed and toured with award-winning artists from across Canada and around the world. I enjoy a wide variety of music from Pop, Rock, and Folk to jazz, punk, metal, and electronic. In 2014 I began teaching private lessons at Long & McQuade with over 40 students per week. In 2017 I taught music theory at Holland College's School of Performing Arts, and in 2020 I taught concert band in the public school system. She is a Registered Music Teacher (RMT), a Certified Teacher of the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM Advanced Specialist), and an Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. In addition to 35 years of private teaching experience, she has also concurrently taught at the UPEI Music Department for 19 years and at Holland College's School of Performing Arts for 2 years. Dan Hay
Dan has over 23 years experiencing teaching guitar. In 2011 he earned his Bachelors of Education as well as an Honours Degree in Arts from University of Ottawa. He is currently the grade 4-8 music teacher at the Kanata Academy. Dan taught at several music schools in the Ottawa area as well as working as a music instructor for Camp Christie Kids. He’s always involved in several bands and music projects, currently playing lead guitar in Amos the Transparent and guitar and bass in Mystery Weekend. Some career highlights include: releasing 5 records, tours of North America, Japan and Australia, 3 Summers on the Vans Warped Tour, Guest on CBC's Q and The Strombo Show, songs featured in Degrassi and MTVs The Real World, and opening for artists such as Jeff Beck, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sloan, Loverboy. Dan offers guitar, bass and ukulele lessons.

Carter Peak
Carter has been playing drums for over 14 years and has 4 years teaching experience. Throughout his career, Carter has focused on touring and recording with a variety of bands including Write Home, Vesuvius, and Jordan Mcintosh. He has honed his abilities as a drummer, while also expanding his knowledge into the realms of production and songwriting.
Career Highlights
Releasing 2 records, one of which charted on Billboard. Toured North America. Featured on Family Channel, and YTV. Played shows such as Bluesfest, Boots & Hearts (2 years), and the Cavendish Country Festival. Actively creating content on Instagram/Tik Tok.

Nathaneal Larochette
Nathanael Larochette has been playing guitar for 18 years and is a solo artist as well as a member of the chamber folk trio Musk Ox and the instrumental metal band The Night Watch. After studying privately with Dr. John Higney of Carleton University, Nathanael began dedicating himself to instrumental music composition, exploring everything from ambient, folk, jazz and classical to atmospheric, technical and extreme forms of heavy metal. Though experienced with instrumental music, Nathanael has also spent 14 years teaching creative writing workshops in Ottawa schools and is happy to share his storytelling expertise with students interested in developing their songwriting and lyrical skills.
Career Highlights
Releasing 10 albums, performing in 11 countries, appearing at Ottawa Bluesfest, Terra Incognita Festival (Quebec City) and Wave-Gotik-Treffen Festival (Leipzig, Germany) opening for Norwegian world music masters Wardruna, Musk Ox's second album "Woodfall" being selected as one of the Top Canadian Albums of 2014 by The Needle Drop, performing original acoustic interludes on American atmospheric metal band Agalloch's album "The Serpent & The Sphere".

Declan Ryan
Declan has been playing guitar and studying music for over 10 years. He’s constantly involved in different music projects, most notably as the lead guitarist in Abstract Odyssey. Declan is bilingual and offers lessons in both French and English. When not teaching and playing music, Declan is working on his degree at The University of Ottawa.

Career Highlights: Playing live at Bluesfest, The Blacksheep Inn, The Rainbow, The Wakefield Music Festival, Summerfest, playing live with Tony D from MonkeyJunk, as well as playing guitar with LoudLove.

Piano Lessons in Charlottetown and Cornwall

Stefanie Angel offers private beginner and intermediate piano lessons for anyone ages 5 and up. Stefanie has completed an RCM Level 7 piano exam and has played RCM Level 8. She is located in Cornwall, but will commute to students in Cornwall or Charlottetown. There is also the option to take online lessons. Stefanie can provide preparation for the Queen's County Music Festival and RCM Exams. Cost is $17.50 per 30 minute lesson and $22.50 per 45 minute lesson. Violin Lessons with Daniel Fuchs (M.Mus)

My name is Daniel Fuchs. I am a violin teacher and performer living in St. John’s. I teach classical violin to students of all ages and levels.

About me:
I have a Master’s in Violin Performance and Pedagogy from MUN. I am a member of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. I have taught violin since 2013 and I’ve been a teaching artist at the Strong Harbour Strings program since 2016. I have also coached at MUN’s Chamber Music for Youth Program. While I teach classical violin, I include music from a diversity of composers and styles, including Newfoundland and other folk music. I am happy to explore any particular interests that a student brings forth.

I teach at my home studio in St. John's, conveniently located near the Merrymeeting Sobeys. If you are interested in taking lessons, please get in touch with me and I’d be happy to answer any questions and discuss more details. I prioritize teaching students who are looking to commit to weekly lessons, but don’t hesitate to reach out about less frequent lessons as well.
