JRF Oilfield Services Ltd. is seeking a shop manager/heavy duty mechanic to manage maintenance of our fleet of on highway/off highway equipment.
JRF Oilfield Services has been in business for 15 years. We are a continuously growing transportation company serving the Edson and surrounding area. We provide a wide range of services including Oilfield hauling, gravel supply and haul, lease build, logging and civil earthwork.

Duties and Responsibilities for this position Include:
Organize/manage the daily operations of the shop and staff including coordination of shifts
Management of record keeping (including maintenance records, inspections and CVIPs) as required by legislation (Including AB transport)
Track shop costs and parts
Manage/track CVIP inspections and scheduled maintenance
Provide guidance, training and coaching to apprentices or shop hands
Interprets technical manuals, work orders, and write service reports.
Keep equipment clean, lubricated and maintained.
Perform preventative and service maintenance on trucks.
Monitor the safety and efficiency of equipment.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
Adjust equipment and repairs or replace defective parts, components or systems.
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensures that the work done meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated requirements.
Perform physically demanding duties such as: heavy lifting, working underneath trucks, working in cramped or awkward positions, climbing on/off units & trailers, getting in/out of units, working long hours if required.
Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and overtime while on shift
Maintains a company focused approach.
Other job duties as required, as the above duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
Qualifications Include:Only certified Journeymen will be considered; must have truck and transport experience
Preference will be given to those who also have experience on crushing spreads and heavy equipment.
Knowledge of engine and gear repair, experience with computer diagnostics, and excellent trouble shooting skills are assets
Must have own tools
Must have excellent time management skills, strong leadership skills and be very organized.

We have a well above average Cabinet Assembler Contract that we want to talk to you about! You will average 3 to 5 times the typical wages paid to a Cabinet Maker that works in a shop in the Lower Mainland.
The successful Contractor will have the following skills and requirements:
Minimum 3 years working with Cabinet Assembly, this experience can be either in Cabinet Making or Finishing Carpentry.
A full set of finishing tools ready to work.
A space, shop, garage or warehouse that you can Ship/Receive Cabinet orders to. The possibility to help this get set up is there for the right person, however first priority will be given to those that have the infrastructure already.
A full size truck with a covered box or vehicle that can pull a trailer is an asset but not required.
Duties include:
Receiving of flat pack boxes of solid wood cabinets and hardware for assembly.
Professional Assembly of solid wood cabinets with provided hardware, using your own tools.
Contact with Head Office when done each project.
Prepare the assembled cabinets for delivery, to avoid any damage.
All of this work will be done through our system, training will be provided, with ongoing support.

Due to growth they are seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to join their growing yet established team. Your new role- Performing assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs and complete overhauls on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerised or other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Make recommendations regarding extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement.
- Think logically and keep up with changes in technology.
- Interpret work order and technical manuals.
- Complete job specific reports and paperwork as needed.
- Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
- Motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.
- Work remotely in adverse weather conditions. Job tasks may be physically demanding lifting up to 50 lbs. Confined Space work is required.
What you'll need to succeed- The successful candidate will possess a Journey person Heavy Equipment Technician certification. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Other requirements include:Strong commitment to safety
- Experience in repair/maintenance of heavy equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Some positions may require the ability to travel and meet customer site requirements
- Experience with Komatsu equipment is considered an asset
- Inter provincial Red Seal is considered an asset
