Hours: 37.5 hours per week. 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday

This Clothing Plant Labourer position is ideal for an independent, reliable, and organized individual who takes a professional, manufacturing-focused approach to their work. The role involves a variety of responsibilities, including preparing and managing art separations, burning screens, registering jobs, operating an M&R automated screen printing press, and ensuring print quality through consistent quality control measures.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining an organized and stocked work environment, including managing inventory levels, mixing inks, and performing routine press maintenance. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to keep their workstations clean and efficient. Roles and Responsibilities:
-Prepare and Manage Art Separations – Review prepared artwork files for screen printing, ensuring proper separation, and color management for accurate printing.
-Screen Burning and Setup – Expose screens using proper emulsion techniques and ensure screens are correctly prepared for each print job.
-Job Registration and Alignment – Accurately register screens to ensure proper alignment, consistent image quality, and minimal print defects.
-Check and weigh materials and products
-Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
-Ink Mixing and Maintenance – Mix inks to the correct specifications, adjust for color consistency, and ensure proper ink flow during the printing process.
-Quality Control – Monitor print quality throughout each job, making adjustments as needed to ensure prints meet company standards and customer specifications.
-Supply Management – Keep track of supply inventory levels, including ink, screens, and supplies, ensuring workstations are stocked and ready for the next job.
-Workstation Organization and Cleanliness – Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regularly cleaning presses, tools, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
-Adhere to Safety and Production Protocols – Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring safe handling of chemicals, equipment, and materials while meeting production targets.
The Ideal Candidate will be:
-Self motivated and able to work independently. Comfortable with repetitive tasks and movements for extended periods of time.
-Able to work in a fast paced environment and understand the importance of meeting assigned deadlines.
-Organized and willing to take ownership of tasks that are assigned to them.
-Comfortable working extra hours as needed when necessary during high season.
Education/Experience Requirements:
-Textile and printing industry experience is an asset
-Past experience working in manufacturing is an asset.
Skill Requirements:
-A willingness to learn and apply new skills in relation to screen printing
-Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time to complete tasks.
-Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator experience is an asset
-Technical proficiency in basic online programs such as Google Docs and Dropbox
-Proactive in completing work, solving problems, and developing solutions.
Compensation & Benefits:
-$18.00-$19.50 per hour starting wage depending on experience
