Blue Goose Restaurant is a family-run restaurant located about 30 minutes away from downtown Charlottetown serving home-cooked meals with a smile. If you're an experienced cook with a varied range of culinary abilities, we invite you to apply and be a part of our team!
Salary: 15-16$/hr
Hours: 32.5hr/week
2-3 years experience preferred
Minimum High School EducationResponsibilities:
• Wash, peel, and chop ingredients for cooking.
• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Grill, fry, bake, or microwave food items as per the restaurant's recipes.
• Plate dishes in an attractive manner, ensuring consistency in presentation.
• Safely operate kitchen tools and machinery, including fryers, ovens, and grills.
• Regularly check equipment to ensure they function properly.
• Maintain a clean workstation, sanitizing surfaces and tools.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, wearing protective gear as required.
• Work efficiently to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and notify management of any shortages.
• Rotate stock to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
• Work harmoniously with other kitchen staff to optimize workflow.

The Food & Beverage Server will provide the delivery of services towards our guests of Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park; provide professional service in sales, promotions, entertainment initiatives which includes (knowledge of Harness Racing, simulcast wagering, Table Games/EGD information). The Food & Beverage Server will be responsible for all sales and service of all food & beverage products in all food & beverage outlets.
- Responsibilities
- Create a warm, courteous and friendly work environment for our patrons and co-workers.
- Be fully aware of all site promotions and corporate initiatives at all times.
- Set, serve and clear tables in Food and Beverage locations at Red Shores.
- Provide beverage / cocktail service.
- Ensure the workstation is clean, organized and well stocked with utensils, dishware, glassware and any other required service equipment.
- Complete shift inventory of wine, beer and spirits.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedule.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identifying and communicating unsafe practices and conditions.
- Present guest cheques and collect payment for F&B products.
- Balance daily shift sales and prepare Main Bank deposits.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
- Qualifications
- Requires high school diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education.
- Requires experience in a related field of 1 year in a fast-paced work environment.
- Participate in and possess responsible server training certificate.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work and excel in fast paced work environment.
- Meet and exceed customer service standards.

The Stress, Interpersonal Relationships and Health Lab (SIRH) is looking for couples in which at least one partner is trying to change their diet and/or physical activity habits. The main goal of this study is to investigate how different types of couples’ behaviors influence change in eating and physical activity behaviors over time.
Participation in our study involves completing questionnaires and participate in a discussion task.
Earn up to 100$ over 3-months for participating in this study.
