The Opportunity
Ready to make a difference in the lives of seniors? Were looking for an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to join our team of dedicated health professionals. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will play a key role in our patient-centred, goal-directed approach to care. From evaluating clinical care plans to administering medication and other treatment, your role is as important as it is fulfilling.
A typical day might include:
Fostering relationships with residents and families to ensure plan of care is resident focused and carried out;
Evaluating a residents plan of care, ensuring the assessment is up to date and accurately documented;
Processing and administering medication in accordance with regulatory requirements;
Collaborating with and advising Personal Support Workers and staff on best practices related to the delivery of our health-care programs and policies;
Supporting the arrival, transfer or departure of residents;
Responding to emerging health conditions and medical emergencies, including the delivery of first-aid care.
What YOU bring
Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in your province of work
Experience working with seniors and alongside Personal Support Workers, as well as education tied to gerontology, rehabilitation and long term care
Current basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
Proficient assessment, documentation and communication skills
Proficiency with technology including: Electronic Health Records, Electronic Medication Administration Records, Online Applications
Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Check (VSC)

***Live In Personal Support For A Sweet, Cultured and Easy Elderly Gentleman***
There is a sweet elderly man living in a home down on Hwy 3 south of Merlin. He is extremely sharp and bright and easy to get along and converse with. He loves music and culture and can chat for hours about things. He recently had a fall a few months back and for this reason we don’t want him home alone.
Looking for a caring, kind, clean individual to act as companion, light housekeeping, cooking and personal caregiver of sorts to make sure he is not alone all the time.
A furnished room would be offered as part of the offer with a small paycheck and if you do not have your own vehicle (preferred), then we might be able to figure something out.
You don’t have to have prerequisites or formal training. A caring, kind individual is what we’re looking for. This gentleman is sharp as a tack and knows what’s going on. He is active on a large screen computer and keeps himself occupied. He doesn’t need a baby sitter, just a caring, kind individual so he is not alone all the time.

Ready to make a difference in someones life? As a Personal Support Worker, you will help us deliver the person-centred care Revera is renowned for. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will ensure the proper delivery of our services, including assisting with personal care, meal service and hygiene, to observing and reporting changes in physical or mental health and well-being. Whether social, emotional, psychological or physical, if it concerns our residents, it concerns YOU!
A typical day might include:
Ensuring each resident receives care tailored to their needs, as determined by your supervisor;
Fostering relationships with residents and families;
Providing support and professional insights for both residents and their families;
Helping residents meet their daily care needs and longer-term goals;
Responding to residents questions and concerns with HEART: Hear, Empathize, Acknowledge, Respond, Thank.
What YOU bring
Graduate of Personal Support Worker program (or provincial equivalent certificate program with completion of required theory and practicum hours)
Strong oral communication, as well as time-management skills
Tech savvy having the ability to complete online documentation via iPhone/iPad
Experience providing personal-care duties, including providing tasks such as lifting and transferring clients
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification recommended
Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Check (VSC)
