Position: Production Manager
Location: South shore of Quebec City

Responsibilities
As Production Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Plan and coordinate production, maintenance, tooling and logistics in a unionized work environment;
* Lead your teams to achieve the objectives of the strategic plan.
* Provide inspirational leadership for all union members, employees and management;
* Participate in the sound management of labor relations and ensure application of the collective agreement;
* Implement and maintain a culture of operational excellence in OHS matters.
* Collaborate with the Quality department to implement and maintain a culture of operational excellence in production quality;
* Implement improvements to the departments under his/her responsibility using Lean Manufacturing principles, in order to improve and enhance operational efficiency;
* Contribute to automation projects and production capacity increases;
* Prepare budgets in line with strategic plan objectives.
* Develop and analyze KPIs to understand trends and prevent deviations. If necessary, quickly identify and correct problems at source to minimize downtime and maximize production time;
* Develop and implement effective and efficient production procedures;
* Manage production costs and maximize profits;
* Conduct twice-yearly performance appraisals of management team members;
* Collaborate with the human resources department to develop and retain the best possible team;
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure on-time delivery of finished products;
* Collaborate with the R&D and Engineering departments to develop new products and efficient production processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management or any other related discipline;
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position;
* Knowledge of production planning;
* Mastery of Office suite;
* Knowledge of ERP systems (required);
* Manufacturing experience (required);
* Knowledge of extrusion and/or the window and door industry (an asset);
* Bilingual
