Research Study - 90SecondParent Wellbeing
Description
OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES
We’re looking for caregivers/parents to participate in a survey study specifically designed to meet the needs of parents of children with developmental disabilities. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the wellbeing of children with developmental disabilities and their families. It may also add difficulties to accessing mental health support. We developed an e-health program to improve the wellbeing of parents of children with developmental disabilities by giving parents access to the 90Second health letters.
The 90SecondParent Wellbeing is a series of health letters that addresses topics relevant for parents of children with developmental disabilities. It combines evidence-based health information with actionable tips to improve parents’ wellbeing. Each 90SecondParent Wellbeing health letter is divided into five sections: an introduction, a call-to-action section, a brief self-assessment, a personal account, and a rating section. Each letter can be delivered to you via email. The program is free of cost.
The study is entirely online, and each survey takes less than 20 mins to complete. Parents receive a $25 gift-card for completing the surveys after they complete all 3 surveys.
We’re looking for:
- Parents who live in Canada
- Aged at least 18
- One of the primary caregivers (i. e. grandparent, foster parent, adoptive parent, biological parent, or other unpaid caregiver) for a child with a developmental disability
NOTE: There is no age range for the child/children with developmental disabilities.
