Are you facing health issues?
Or are you just interested in your health?
Learn about possible imbalances and see if your results from your main healthcare provider are considered "normal."Nutritional imbalances in cells and organs are not a new concept. Many people lack essential nutrients: about 90% are low in potassium, 70% in calcium, and 80% in vitamin E. Over half of the population is also deficient in vitamins A, C, and magnesium. Vitamin D deficiency affects at least 50% of people, regardless of age, and around 90% of those with darker skin are also lacking this vitamin. The CDC reports that 60% of adults suffer from one or more chronic diseases, which can often be improved with tailored nutrition for cells.
Many people don't realize that Medical Doctors don't get training in cellular nutrition, which is quite different from just having a "balanced diet." Understanding this can bring health benefits you might not expect. I wish I had known about this 30 years ago. For the past 25 years, I was confused by misleading "new age" marketing. In the end, I found myself in a doctor's office, where I was given many pills that only made me feel worse.
Underactive thyroid issues are becoming more common each year. Pituitary disorders can lead to problems like tension headaches, migraines, vision issues, and glaucoma. The term "allergy" was changed in 1925, leaving out many conditions, including hypersensitivity. Hypoglycemia is frequently seen in psychiatric patients and those with violent tendencies. Essential fatty acids are often missing from North American diets. As people age, stomach acid and other important substances typically decrease, especially in those over 40. This decline in gut health and nutrient absorption can harm cellular reproduction.

By participating in this research study, you will be contributing to help us understand if sleep and activity tracking may offer potential new, objective, digital ways to spot mood-related changes at early stages so we can prevent youth depression.
How? We ask that you wear an activity watch to record your movement and sleep patterns for 30 days, fill out a Mobile Mood diary 5x daily for a week and participate in virtual visits every 3 to 4 months for up to 2 years.
You will be compensated with a gift card at each visit. During the COVID-19 pandemic all visits are performed remotely through videoconferencing straight from your home! Your first visit is 3 hours and the rest are about 1 hour.
Will you see the results from your activity watch?
We will go over and share your results from the watch with you in a session so that you can learn what your patterns are like.
This study does not include any specific treatment for depression.
You may be eligible if you:
• Are between the ages of 12 and 21 years old
• Are experiencing or have been diagnosed with depression (major depressive disorder) by a health professional

The volunteers will teach arts and crafts to children between 6 and 15 years of age. The program is conducted in community schools in or around the Kathmandu valley, Pokhara, Tanahun, Lamjung, Chitwan, Makwanpur or Nawalparasi district. The schools are always in need of more teachers and it will also be possible to teach other subjects such as English, Mathematics and Science. One volunteer can be placed in a school at a time. In Nepal, the school day starts at 10:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. You’ll have 3 to 5 classes a day, each class lasting 45 minutes. Saturday is a holiday and Friday is a half-holiday. When not in school, you will share your everyday life with your host family.
Formal teaching experience is not required, but any relevant skills and qualifications are appreciated. Strong motivation and interest in Nepalese culture are expected.
Duration of the project: 2-5 months. The volunteer placements start on the first Monday of the month.
Orientation: Volunteers attend a 3-day orientation seminar at a training center in Kathmandu before the start of the project. The seminar aims to provide basic knowledge about the Nepalese education system, culture, dress code, food, and detailed information about the project, the school, Nepali language, etc. The orientation seminar starts on the first Monday of the month. During the orientation, accommodation is provided in a dormitory in Kathmandu.
