Moeen Centre - Volunteers Wanted

The Moeen Centre is a non-profit charitable organization located at 551 Kennedy Road. We are open Monday- Friday from 9 am - 3 pm. We offer a day program for our clients who are physically disabled and developmentally challenged. In the long journey, since 1996 we have accomplished a lot at the Center and are still in operation today.
Day Program
Our day program offers a variety of academic subjects and social activities that are tailored to the needs and abilities of our clients. We strive to provide innovative programming that challenges and aid our clientele, some of these areas of activities involve:
Math & Science
Language Arts- reading, writing, and speaking skills
Communication Circle
Art & Crafts
Music
Computer skills
Gardening
Snoezelen therapy
Money handling
Physical education – focus on dance and movement
Community outings/walks
Moeen Centre needs Volunteers ( minimum 1/2 hour per week between 10 Am-2 PM) to facilitate/teach/guide our autistic students in Arts and Crafts, play/entertain drums, story telling etc
Volunteers for general indoor cleaning between 9 am to 3 pm. (needs police clearance)
Volunteers for cleaning the snow during the snow season.
