Recruiting Participants for a COVID Study
Description
Can COVID-19 infection lead to long-term effects in the brain? To help us find the answer, we are looking for participants previously infected with COVID-19, as well as participants who have never had COVID-19. Information from this study may reveal why some people experience long-term symptoms after COVID-19 infection, which may lead to better treatment plans to aid in recovery.
We are looking for individuals who are at least 18 years of age and who have been infected with COVID-19 in the past 6 months.
Participation will include COVID-19 screening tests, two brain scans (positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and bloodwork. Participants will also complete cognitive assessments.
The study involves 4 visits. The total time commitment is about 14 hours. You will be compensated for your time.
Visit 1: Screening (~ 3 hours)
Visit 2: Cognitive assessments (~ 3 hours)
Visit 3: Blood collection, clinical assessment, and MRI & PET Scans (~ 5 hours)
Visit 4: Blood collection and clinical & cognitive assessments (~ 3 hours)
