Hello, I do not need a ride, but.
I am looking to see if anyone is travelling from the Cranbrook, Kimberley, Fernie area to Kelowna on business or essential travel. I am looking to see if someone has a truck that can bring back a boat buddy for me. This is fairly light, but it needs the box of a truck to fit in. Anytime over the next 30 days would be great. I will pay for services. If you are travelling to Kelowna and back or you know someone who is please contact me. thank you.

We are looking for people born between 1946-1965 to take part in a study of leisure, work, and life transitions. While many baby boomers have begun to retire, others are unable to retire or are choosing not to retire for a variety of reasons. If this sounds like you, we want to learn from you. As a participant in this study, you will be asked to participate in an online blog with others in your generation by sharing your experiences and perceptions of leisure, work, and your decision not to retire. Your participation would involve 4 sessions per year for three years, each of which is approximately two weeks. You will be asked to log on to the blog about 5 times in each session. You can create new posts and/or comment on the posts of others. If you volunteer to participate, you will be contacted by a researcher to help you set up an account and get comfortable navigating the blog. In appreciation for your time, you will receive a $50.00 gift card annually. For more information about this study, or to volunteer for this study, please contact: Rebecca Genoe Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at 306-585-4781 or Email: rebecca.genoe@uregina.ca. This study has been reviewed and received approval through the Research Ethics Board, University of Regina.

We consider ourselves to be the region's top classic-rock/hard-rock band. We've got a tight, crowd-pleasing show, 10 years of gigs in this area, a killer jamspace, excellent chemistry and some of the area's top musical and songwriting talent.
We need one more piece of the puzzle this year: EITHER a bassist with a touch of showmanship, a capable rhythm player willing to convert to bass (no bass gear needed), OR a steady, reliable rock/blues/funk drummer.
We don't expect a Perfect Fit, but you will be graded on talent, poise, personality, and the swimsuit competition is usually the tiebreaker.
Must be ready to gig when venues open up again, and willing to rehearse.
MEDIA: See our facebook page for a flavor of who we are; see the Braindance Cabaret soundcloud for a taste of our originals.
REPERTOIRE: Our current show includes Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, CCR, Neil Young, Stones, Cream, Doors, Who, Guess Who, Seger, Bad Co., Mountain, Blues Bros., Black Sabbath, Johnny Cash and Steve Earle among others.
STYLE: Blues to rockin' country, southern rock to classic metal. But we are NOT a cover band. We have a distinctive, recognizable style and feel that incorporates a lot of creativity. we *interpret* the songs we cover, so you'll have a lot of freedom to do things your own way.
ORIGINALS: We have an original set but our originals are strong enough that they get requests. We've got 3 writers (2 of them award winners) in the band already and room for another IF you can contribute quality.
FIT: You'll be joining a core of four very good friends who've stayed good friends for eight years. Ego trips are permitted but only if you bring back enough souvenirs for everybody. Adult-child or PTSD issues are a must to fit with this crew, PROVIDED you're aware of what they are and how you cope with them. (Yes, this will be on the exam.) You'll have a say in new material right away, but if you don't actually enjoy our current setlist, this ain't gonna work.
EARNINGS: As a five-piece doing 10-20 gigs a year, the split ain't great. As we see it, we play for free and get paid for being our own roadies. This is recreational for us. There is serious talent and soul in this band, and when we play live, we kick ass and take names. We don't just like what we do, we ARE PROUD of it. That's the real payoff.
TIME REQUIREMENT: We rehearse Sunday afternoons but have some flex there. We gig only within sleep-at-home distance and almost always on weekends. We have several regular gigs as well as local festivals and special events in the summer.
TALENT: Less important than fit. Viz.:
- DRUMS: If you can cover Charlie Watts reasonably well and know how to work closely with a bassist, we're willing to work around shortcomings on the Bonham/Moon/Baker stuff for someone we can rely on and care about.
- BASS: 5-string experience prefered but not necessary. A bit of ego is a plus, as we do some challenging material that puts bass up-front with lead guitar. If you're converting from lead or rhythm, you'll get plenty of chances to show off.
- EITHER: Ability to contribute to arrangements or express a personal voice is a huge plus, as are backing and occasional lead vocals.

Hey there, I'm 32 and relatively new to Cranbrook. I moved here July of 2020 and have yet to make any connections. I hoping there is a liberal minded person looking for the same. I'm a pretty free spirit, I love to sit and talk about pretty much anything over coffee. I have a passion for art and nature. I'm a mother of 2. Meeting people is apparently really hard and I'd really like to get the chance to possibly make a friend in this covid world!

Hey I am reaching out in hopes of finding a female partner (30ish-40ish) to homestead with me in the Kootenays near Creston BC. I am 5 years in and I am wanting to share this adventure with someone keen on survival and the outdoors. I have livestock and a massive garden. My kids are grown up and older teens so it gets a bit quiet around here. It would be nice to have someone around.
