Learn more at: https://www.alairhomes.ca/delta/ Requirements:Has a demonstrated track-record of success, experience and skills with residential and commercial carpentry projects.Proven experience with site preparation (demolition), rough carpentry and finishing carpentry.Able to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.Proactive in recognizing project and material requirements.Uses logic and smarts to effectively and efficiently solve problems and work with trade partners.Possesses strong interpersonal skills and enjoys working with people.Uses creativity and detail-orientation to envision a final product and ensure spot-on execution.Has an excellent customer-service mindset that is responsible, respectable and personable.Is reliable and punctual.Able to work autonomously and is a self-starter.Has proficiency with computers and technology with an ability to touch type.Supplies and takes pride in personal set of tools and safety equipment.Has a valid drivers license and vehicle to travel around the Lower Mainland and beyond. Job Responsibilities:Takes responsibility for daily management of site coordination and site organization.Ensures daily site clean-up occurs.Takes responsibility for site safety as per WorkSafe BC standards, including running safety meetings and completing necessary documentation.Project dependent, performs the following carpentry duties:Form-work slab-work, some retaining walls and architectural concrete (smaller scope)Framing renovations and larger project backframingSiding vinyl, cedar, hardi plank and trimworkBuilding envelopeWindow and door installationFinishing carpentryHardware and accessory installationMinor drywall patchingPainting, painting touch-ups and caulkingProject dependent, performs the following site preparation duties:DemolitionJack-hammeringDiggingSlab preparation and rebarMobilization and demobilization/clean-upOperating Alair equipmentSets up and maintains project signage.Follows project schedule and provides feedback to project manager on achievements.Communicates with project manager to attain Alair equipment as needed.Liaises with sub-trades to enable their work on site.Interfaces with building and municipal officials on site.Manages, organizes and resolves warranty items.Some site supervision.Other duties as required.
