Description
Job Description:We are seeking a Pressure Welder for one of our clients in Surrey, BC. This company is committed to providing a safe and friendly workplace and they are looking for someone flexible and very thorough, who can work independently in a fast-paced environment Roles and Responsibilities: · Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications. · Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal pipe and other segments using processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW and SAW. · Repair worn parts of metal products. This posting is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities but constitutes a general definition of the position's scope and function. Qualifications and Experience: · Completion of High School/GED required · Journeyman or Red Seal Welder with Level B Certification with Logbook. · 2+ years of new and repair welding experience · Endorsement A is highly desired · Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) ticket is an asset. · Forklift license, overhead crane certification are assets. · Good attention to detail with the ability to problem solve · Sit, talk, hear, and/or use hands to handle and touch objects · Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch · Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, and depth perception · Ability to lift to 50 pounds · Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and outside weather conditions, particularly extreme heat during summer months. · Loud noise level environment. Schedule: Dayshift – 5:30am to 2:00pm Monday to Friday Afternoon shift – 1:30pm to 12:00am Monday to Thursday Pay: $40/hr. Job ID: 45930233
