Live-In Home Support Worker

Hello:

I am currently a college student, enrolled in the Personal Support Worker program at Sundance College located in Capilano. I am searching for a LIVE-IN Home Support Worker position, for preferably a senior woman, or an elderly couple who are in need of a person to help them with their health care and home support needs in their home.

I am a single woman in her very late 50's, with no dependants.

I wish to help someone or an older couple in need who will be happy to have some assistance with their personal needs around the house. As someone who loves animals and has lived with 3 cats and has for many years taken care of their feeding and grooming needs, this is something else I can assist you with!

I am currently attending college right now, but soon my work practicum will start, and I found out from my college instructor that a live-in position would serve as 'work experience'.

The program officially ends by August 31st. HOWEVER: I am very close now to the end of the program that I believe ends in just 2-3 weeks before I am to officially start my work practicum, which is 7 weeks long. You, as my practicum 'host' would be my boss/Supervisor. (it can be either full-time or part-time). Let me stress that I would ideally want this to be permanent, not just for the 7 week duration.

Currently I am learning a new course called 'Medication Assistance Program (MAP) Basics/Medication Management, and we are finishing up with our 'Promoting Oxygenation' course, to give you a better idea of what I have been taking.

The pictures shown of Sorrentino's CANADIAN Textbook for the Support Worker and Integrating a Palliative Approach are the textbooks that I am and have been learning here at Sundance College. The pictures I have taken capture shots of are all of the college courses thus far as well.

I have to politely ask that you please give me as much detail as possible about the Support Worker position. I've had a couple of replies where all they said was, 'Hi, I am interested' or 'Hi how are you?
I see your post on kijiji. I am interested.'

Please NO CREEPS, and also have a GOOD grasp of the English language. Replies that make it sound like you're interested in me, as in a potential 'date' and without a job description or the job duties are not replies I am going to respond to.
