We are actively looking for a motivated market sales representative in the Edmonton area!
Job Description:
Spring (March – mid May) - Attending markets spring throughout the greater Edmonton area and a few out of town markets (Examples: Edmonton Boat Show, Wholly Handmade Sherwood Park, Red Deer Home Show, Little bit of the This Blackfalds)
Summer (mid May – October) - Setting up and attending outdoor local farmers markets on a weekly basis (Examples: St Albert Farmers Market, Terwillegar, Strathcona Farmers Market, 124 ST Grand Market) *Summer months.. have a full week planned, or just 2-3 markets a week.. it's up to you!
Fall/Christmas – BUSY SEASON (October - mid December) - Attending markets spring throughout the greater Edmonton area and more out of town markets (Examples: Wholly Handmade Sherwood Park, Signatures Saskatoon, Fort McMurray Christmas Market, Grand Prairie Christmas Market, YEG Fort Edmonton Christmas Market)
Requirements
- Motivation to draw in new customers! We will provide training to the right person to help them become confident in selling our products.
- Being able to setup and takedown a booth at a market. You would need to be able to lift some heavy objects to get them in and out of vehicles
- Speaking of vehicles.. We would require a vehicle large enough to hold a 7 cubic foot freezer along with all market gear. *You are paid a driving wage for time spent driving to and from markets as well - Freezers.. you would need some product on hand to keep you stocked between markets!
We supply two large chest freezers which have 2 options of storage: You can either put the freezers in a garage, or we can supply a 10 ft cargo trailer that we can use as storage for the products and market gear.. your call!
*We pay a rental fee monthly to the person keeping this on site for us*
We keep additional product off site at a cold storage facility, there you can restock your freezers at your residence to continue doing markets! • Farmers market/trade show experience is an asset, but not a requirement
• Pay is between $22-$25/hour for market sales time depending on experience
• Monthly rental fee to you for freezers/power
• Driving wage to and from markets is included
