Can you help us understand the impact of COVID-19 on the brain?
Dr. Theone Paterson at University of Victoria and Dr. Kristina Gicas at York University are looking for your help in understanding the impact COVID-19 has on the brain. This information will help us understand how best to help those who are experiencing difficulties after receiving a COVID-19 diagnosis and will further help to inform responses by public health organizations and clinical treatments.
If you are at least 19 years of age, living in Ontario or British Columbia, have not been previously diagnosed with COVID-19 and can spare time for two sessions, one consisting of online surveys (~45 min.) and another session will take place on Zoom (~1.5-2.5 hours), then this study is for you! You will be asked to complete a set of confidential online surveys and participate in a Zoom-based assessment with a researcher. You may be eligible to participate in an online couple’s research study at York University.
We are looking for people who struggle with intense emotions and self-injury/suicidal thoughts and behaviours and their romantic partners who are 18 years old and up who:
• Are willing to complete questionnaires and interviews about emotions, thoughts, and behaviours
• Are able and willing to complete a brief measure of their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours every day on their smart phone for 4 weeksParticipants will be paid up to $295.75 for their participation.

Would you like to be involved in a study that looks at the impact of COVID-19 on the brain?
If yes, this study is for you! Specifically, we are looking for help from those who have not received a COVID-19 diagnosis and have not been suspected to have had COVID-19 before. To be eligible to participate in this study you must be at least 19 years old, and currently living in Ontario or British Columbia. We are currently prioritizing participants over the age of 40.
For this study, you will take part in two sessions. The first will be a set of online surveys taking about 45 minutes and the second will be a confidential and secure Zoom-based assessment that will take about 60 minutes. We are currently seeking volunteers for an online research study to better understand adults’ chronic pain experiences, including their thoughts about their chronic pain, self-management strategies, and decisions to participate in physical activity or not.
