Iaido is the Japanese art of drawing the long sword. Basic iaido kata combines drawing the sword with either a defensive block or cut, usually followed by another cut, then chiburi (moving the blade in such as way as to remove blood) and noto (returning the blade to the scabbard).
Iaido is used not only to teach techniques, but as a form of mental and physical discipline, emphasizing correct technique, meditation and character development.Because kata are performed against one or more imaginary opponents and its emphasis on precise, controlled, fluid motion, iaido is sometimes referred to as "moving Zen."

The Canadian Red Cross Psychological First Aid course
The Psychological First Aid course cost is $173.91 + tax ($200.00) which includes the PFA workbook, Look, Listen, Link, Live reference cards, and certification card.
Course Dates 2021:
May 6 & 7, 2021
July 17 & 18
October 23 & 24COURSE CONTENT:
Psychological First Aid (PFA) is about taking care of yourself – your thoughts, feelings, and emotions when you have experienced stress, crisis, or trauma – and then being there for family, friends, and community when they are having difficulty coping.
Learn how to anticipate stress and crisis whenever possible and equip yourself with the skillset to practice self-care and to provide care for others during particularly challenging times. Unlike mental health first aid, which trains people to help someone during a mental health emergency, Red Cross Psychological First Aid teaches you how to build up resiliency to stress and establish coping strategies for stress and trauma.
This course is designed for anyone seeking a certification in Psychological First Aid. We highly recommend this course for people working with those with mental health conditions, those with family members who’ve experienced trauma, those who’ve experienced trauma and wish to find more resources, and for any group looking for an excellent team building and morale boosting experience for their workplace. This more substantive and flexible curriculum helps you gain a deeper understanding of the Red Cross Look, Listen, Link, Live model – this means having awareness that there is a problem, listening to yourself or others, and linking to resources in your community so you can live fully.
You will also learn Psychological First Aid using the principle of Do No Harm, which refers to the unintentional harm that may be caused to those who are meant to benefit from your intervention.
This course is provided as an in-person classroom format (12 hours) or as a blended online and in-person classroom format (90 minutes online and seven hours in class). The time spent in class gives you and your fellow learners the opportunity to connect with the instructor, who will help you adapt the course to your needs and local context. The instructor guides all learners safely through the course material.
This also gives you the opportunity to learn Psychological First Aid as a group, alongside peers and classmates, building upon one another’s ideas, questions, and examples.
The course uses case-based learning and includes the latest evidence from the international community.
Course Location/Location details/Times:
- Course is at 440 Wilsey Road, Suite 104, Fredericton Industrial Park.
- The course runs 9AM-3PM.
The Psychological First Aid course certificates expire three years from the date of issue.Call/email and sign up today!

In the early 90s I charted a song top 10 in the UK... it's a long story for another time. But, it might be time to do that again. :-)
If you love Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, U2, Thomas Dolby, XTC, Sting, Yello, Kraftwerk, or other great 80s euro-pop then we have similar inspirations. I play a lot of instruments though not an expert at any. I have a lot of electronic gear in particular, including an early Mini Moog.
Whether your a singer with an unusual voice, song writer, musician, or whatever... feel free to reach out.

Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano, or improve your keyboarding skills? I offer both individual and group lessons online. I am a qualified and very experienced instructor with over 25 years of teaching experience, both in a private setting, and at the university level. I have taught students of all ages and levels of study. My education includes a BA (Mus), andMMus (Piano Performance).
Group lessons are a fun and interactive way to learn! The benefits to group learning are many. One of these being that you benefit not only from the teachers instruction, but also by listening to others play, and the instruction they are given. A students participation in the group will be based strictly on their comfort level, but the chance to play for others offers the benefit of getting over the stage fright many suffer from, and building confidence in their ability to play the piano.
Learning in a group format is a new, unique, and affordable, way to learn to play piano. All ages welcome! Rates are highly discounted in comparison to private lessons. However, for those that prefer individualized instruction, then private lessons are the right choice for you.
Please contact me for more information. I look forward to hearing from you!
Rates: $14 for a 1/2 hr group lesson, $30 for a 1/2 hr private lesson
*45 minute and 1 hr lessons are also available if requested

Hi, I'm looking for a nemesis starting anytime. I'm very flexible with hours, but meeting at the golden or blue hours suit my preferences best.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, but it is a huge plus if you have any experience with hostility, sarcasm, banter, mockery, and/or salty remarks. Sass is fine, but yo mama jokes should be used sparingly.
Once we have met a few times, physical duels may be on the table. Quarterstaffs, swords, or fists are my preference. A good intro to me would be what your dueling weapon of choice is!
All our meetings would be, of course, socially distanced. Uptown fredericton area is most accessible for me, with empty fields and dusky pathways being the best for horrible encounters.
Please feel free to share this ad, or message me if you have any questions. EDIT: Please do NOT start the conversation by being rude or threatening me. That's no way to talk to someone you've never met.
And of course, no nazis, transphobes, homophobes, or xenophobia. I'm looking for a nemesis, not an antagonist.

I am looking for the man who was in Marysville feb 17 , I believe you were driving a blue Ford pick up with a red plow , you hit my dog . You have 24 hours to send me a message here , or turn yourself into the police. I would prefer a Sinple half assed apology man to man , but if you see this and continue to hide , I will find you and you will pay for what you do after the next 24 hours.
Really looking for a nice clean apology , two men saying we both made mistakes and to move on , but if I don’t hear anything by the next snow storm , then time is up . You hit my dog , time to be a man and own up to it please .

My family is considering moving from Ontario to New Brunswick, and we'd appreciate any advice or info from people who live there.
We're looking to leave the unfortunate mess that Ontario's become, and get back to a simpler, happier life.
We're hoping to find a place in the country, ideally within about a half hour from either Moncton, Fredericton, or St. John, but we'll consider any area.
We're looking to buy a house with some out buildings and lots of space (minimum 5 acres) for our kids, dogs, large vegetable garden, small sawmill, woodworking hobby shop, & internet business.
We're looking for a great community! One that's safe and that has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. A good public school is a must too.
If you know of a place like this, please let us know about it. Conversely, if there are any places that you'd avoid, we'd like to know too.
We'd also appreciate some recommendations for a reputable realtor.
If there's anything that crosses your mind about relocating to New Brunswick that we might not have realized or considered, please let us know. It's kind of a serious life change, and we want to be certain before we pull the trigger!
Thanks for your time!

How has the pandemic impacted your health and wellbeing? What has been helpful and what has not been helpful for your mental health?
Researchers from the University of Victoria are participating in a global collaboration to study the psychological impact of the pandemic and lockdown. We are asking people to complete a short questionnaire to better understand how the pandemic is affecting us all and its impact on our day to day lifestyle. We hope to find out what is helpful for people during this time and also what may be causing some people to be affected more than others in terms of their wellbeing.
Can you spare 15 minutes to help? Even if you filled out the 1st wave of this survey (Aug - Oct 2020), please also fill out this NEW 2nd WAVE of our survey! Click on the link to the questionnaire for more information: https://bit.ly/3828qkJ or scan the QR code.
