We are heartbroken to have to find a new home for our beautiful boy. Ozzie is a 1 year old, neutered male Border Collie/Australian Shepard cross. He is very energetic and extremely keen to learn. Ozzie is house-trained and responds well to commands but his recall cannot yet be trusted over the lure of a car or another animal. He loves to swim and heels very well on the leash. He has been crate trained and enjoys having his own space. Lately we have been working with Ozzie and a trainer on some fear aggression issues that we are told should be resolved with training, time and maturity. We are seeing improvement but we are not there yet. Given his age, his rambunctiousness, and his guarding issues, at this time, Ozzie would do best in a home with no kids or cats and would be in his glory on a farm...especially a working farm. He is extremely smart and quick to pick up anything new. We have worked very hard over the last year to raise and train him but unfortunately, I think that my interactions with Oz along with the presence of our cat have become barriers in his training and we want to give him the best chance for success. If you are up for the challenge, please contact us and we, along with his trainer, will talk to you about Oz.

1) we are not a registered breeder, we are owners, the kijiji template would not let me select the Owner status for some reason. We did buy Ozzie from Wilson's Farms.2) we want the absolute best home for Ozzie. We will be wanting to visit any potential new homes and check references on anyone looking to move forward with Ozzie and we may want other assurances as necessary.

Unfortunately we are looking to rehome our 2 year old Black Lab/Border Collie Mix to a loving home. He is very protective, doesn’t care much for strangers, he does bark and growl, but does warm up to them after spending some time together. He knows his basic commands, is great with other dogs and cats. He is microchipped, it can be transferred. He is also neutered. We would really love to find him a home with lots of land where we can run and play! He is kennel trained and will come with his kennel.
