G-TAC is looking for outstanding individuals to join our instructor team to teach Cyber Security online course for our employment training program.
Responsibilities:
Through planning, preparing and delivering quality class instruction and slides based on the approved curriculum, the instructor provides an enriching learning environment for students by using career-oriented teaching methods.
The main teaching content should cover:
1) An overview of the cyber threat landscape and the impact on the public.
2) A deep analysis of threat vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
3) Confidentiality integrity and availability including vulnerability assessment model, goal and tools.
4) Cyber protection defence and mitigation including network security and hardening.
5) Overview of cyber security employment sectors and job opportunities in public and private sector in Canada.
6) Overview of cyber security certification such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or OSCP from CompTIA, ISC, ISACSA etc.
The instructor helps students stay engaged and ensure that students are progressing effectively. The instructor works under the guidance and supervision of the Training Manager.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information technology, cyber security, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in cyber security or a related field.
• At least 1 year of teaching or training experience in cyber security or a related field.
• Strong employment network of contacts with other professionals, organizations and employers.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable ability to convey the conceptual and applied aspects of knowledge to a broad range of students.
• Committed to excellence in teaching and learning.
Class Schedule: Monday- Thursday evening, 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm (Ottawa Canada EST time zone)
Duration: 15 hours with 10 classes in total for each session.
Format: Online Interactive (Chat, Q&A) online training with Zoom meeting in real time.
Salary: $40.00 per hour
