Full-time Disability Support Worker

ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and physically capable Disability Support Worker to join our household care team. This is a front-line position providing direct support and personal care in a private home setting.
Position Details:
Hours: 30-44 hours per week
Schedule: Varied shifts (day, evening, and weekend availability is required. We are a 24/7, 365 day a year home) Two weekends off per month. Hours may range from 7 - 10 hours per shift depending on resident requirements for that day.
Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour, with opportunity for growth based on performance and experience.
Requirements:
-Physically fit and able to safely perform all body mechanics and mobility assistance tasks
-Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
-Dependable, flexible and committed to high-quality personal care.
-Valid Alberta Driver’s License and your own reliable vehicle.
-Must be knowledgeable about nutrition and cooking
-Valid Standard first aid.
-Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (Criminal Record Check).
Responsibilities Include:
-Assisting with daily living activities and personal hygiene
-Supporting mobility, transfers, and exercise routines using proper body mechanics
-Provide balanced, nutritious meals. Be able to follow all specialized dietary requirements
-Medication administration and reporting
-All legally required charting and shift logging.
-Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
-Communicating effectively with client and family to ensure consistent care
QUALIFICATIONS
-Education: Minimum education: Grade 12 (High School Diploma or equivalent)
-Experience: Experience is not a requirement but is definitely an asset. We provide on the job training for the right candidate.
-Knowledge of social media and electronics are very useful in this position. It will also be beneficial If you have an interest in country music, dancing, walking, entertaining and community access.
