Health Care Aide (Casual / Flexible Shifts) – In-Home Support

About the Role:
Our clients in Grande Prairie are currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Health Care Aides (HCAs) for casual, in-home assignments across . Our clients include seniors, children, adults, and individuals living with developmental disabilities, dementia, or complex care needs.
This role offers flexible scheduling with consistent and on-call opportunities based on client demand. Ideal for caregivers who are adaptable, professional, and committed to high-quality, person-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care routines (bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene)
Support safe mobility and transfers (bed, wheelchair, shower chair, etc.)
Provide care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, developmental disabilities, or cognitive challenges
Monitor skin integrity and assist with repositioning when required
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping related to client care
Offer companionship, supervision, and engagement during daily activities
Support children and adults with daily living and community inclusion
Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior
Maintain clear, professional communication with families and care coordinators
Follow all safety protocols and individualized care plans
Qualifications:
Health Care Aide (HCA) certification preferred or relevant caregiving experience
Minimum 1–2 years experience in home care, community support, or similar setting
Experience supporting diverse populations (seniors, children, adults, disabilities, dementia) is a strong asset
Training in safe client handling and transfers
Valid First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Professional, reliable, and compassionate approach to care
Requirements:
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid government-issued ID
Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation (asset)
Schedule & Availability:
Casual and flexible shifts (days, evenings, overnights, weekends)
Short-term, long-term, and respite care assignments available
Must be dependable, punctual, and responsive to scheduling needs
