Looking for a drummer and bassist that's potentially interested in forming a Rockabilly influenced punk band. Not looking for something overly serious, but just as something for getting together, playing some covers, a few originals, and playing some shows together. Influenced a lot by bands like Stray Cats, the Cramps, Crazy Cavan 'n' the Rhythm Rockers, the Paladins, Reverend Horton Heat, Robert Gordon, the Meteors, and all of the 50s/oldies Rock N Roll, Blues, Country/Rockabilly singers of the past. Not too concerned if someone who plays bass, isn't comfortable playing a stand up bass, electric bass works fine too. I'm in my mid 50's, play bass and rhythm guitar, I can also sing a song or two.
I would like to find people interested in playing blues based rock.
Stuff along the lines of SRV, George Thorogood to Tesla, Great White to Badlands, The Cult, The Four Horsemen.
I'm open to other stuff too. Nothing's written in stone.
I'm located in Guelph, I have a dedicated jam spot with a full P.A. system and drum kit.
Would prefer people close in age but it not a deal breaker.
It can be a 4 or 5 piece, Male or female doesn't matter, whatever works.
Not looking to be the next bit thing, but open to doing gigs if we get to that level.

Bonus- if you also have previous experience playing in bands, recording an album, and have your life together. WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT:
Our JAM Club sessions are one of the best ways to network and build relationships in the music industry and also for those who just simply want to come out and play. Jamming with others is an essential skill that will undoubtedly foster creativity and strengthen improvisation in any musician’s journey, especially when jamming to different musical backgrounds and genres in a live performance setting. Because we offer a wide range of genres at our JAM Club, musicians can experiment with different styles and broaden their musical horizons. Jammers also benefit from the fact that our JAM Club sessions are private because it creates a comfortable, low-pressure environment to experiment and collaborate without worrying about performing for a live audience wanting to be entertained. Our acoustically treated music studio is fully backlined and ready for you to JAM so you can get to what really matters, the music. Through this collaborative process, musicians will not only refine their musicianship by improving their technical and listening skills, but they will also develop a deeper understanding of the language of music.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
First off, no JAM Session is ever the same. Capturing the essence of a JAM Session is hard to put into words. It’s organically spontaneous and unpredictable by nature. It’s the unique synergy felt from the musician’s perspective while jamming with each other in real time. It’s really truly awesome in so many ways. Typically a JAM Session involves everyone taking turns soloing (if you want to) and/or backing each other while playing a wide range of famous slow, medium and fast tempo progressions and also trying each other’s Top 3 JAM Songs. We provide an atmosphere where there’s an unspoken understanding that everyone is there to have a blast while letting their creativity flow freely. It’s an infectious, exhilarating and unforgettable experience that’ll leave you hooked. Ultimately, it's a great way to gain some invaluable insight into different playing techniques, song structures, and creative approaches from diverse musicians.
COST:
$10 One-Time Registration Fee.
$25 Two Hours of Jamming.
*Get two (2) hours FREE upon registration.

My name is Davey, I’m Drummer/Founder/Booking Agent for a very well to do All 80s New Wave band called Smile N’ Wave.
This band(for a cover band in the Nightclub/Hall/Summer Festival scene) has had a fantastic, long run of 9 years- we’ve seen amazing packed rooms, crazy parties and dancing crowds that always really enjoy what we have to offer.
But, all good things have to come to an end eventually-2 of our beloved friends/brothers have made the difficult decision(amicable of course)to end their tenure with SNW as of Halloween 2025 - they will be hugely missed by the 3 of us.
So, what to do?

The SNW show just won’t be the same without them - so as of Halloween this fun chapter for the five of us after a great 9 year run is coming to a close.
My heart is all about performing 80s New Wave music - so after much thought, I’ve decided to definitely create a reinvented band/show/name with the remaining members(us being Drums, Guitar and Bass).
What I’m looking for…
Before I get into qualifications you should understand what you’re getting into…
The cover songs we perform are challenging both vocally and musically- each one has its own distinct style, sound and approach. They’re very androgynous, full of punk rock energy(the root of most New Wave) and loud. If you are unfamiliar with 80s New Wave you should really listen and absorb the sample list down below before reaching out so you’re 100% sure this is for you.
If I can describe this music it’s a combination of mainly European post punk dance music and 80s movie soundtrack hits.Qualifications (*Please Read)
Frontman
- Great Singing Voice with excellent range(Anything from David Bowie(Let’s Dance)(low)to Payola$(Eyes of A Stranger)/The Cult(She Sells)or possibly A-Ha(Take On Me)(high falsetto chorus)
- Experience a must(You’re the Host of the Dance Party)
- Hi End Mic and your Own Monitor
- Good Image(we dress 80s)
- Other instruments a huge assetKeyboardist
- Great gear and the ability to reproduce authentic sounds from many 80s song hits(this is also a standing keyboard position)
- Experience a must
- A good understanding of strong, consistent volumes for all your samples
- Good Image(we dress 80s)
- Background Harmony a huge assetWhat you’ll also need to get the job(for both)
- Availability to perform Saturday nights throughout the year(planned/booked in advance) anywhere from around Burlington/Oakville/Milton to around Sarnia(weather based)
- Reliable Wheels
- We are going in on the ground floor- Mainly bars/nightclubs/halls for about $120 to $150 per guy(once established this should improve)
- Able to put song batches together(mainly for starts/endings and sound quality) during the odd week night or Sunday afternoon(we have 2 pay per hour rooms in either Kitchener or Guelph)
- Very fun band/show but we perform the songs exactly and work hard to produce a top quality performance so you need to bring your A Game and practiceIf you’re the guy text me and let’s discuss
