Jane Austen Live! A Marathon Reading of Northanger Abbey

On the 30th of November you are cordially invited to Jane Austen Live! A marathon reading of Miss Austen’s novel, Northanger Abbey, in support of the Halifax Humanities Society. Please join us in the illustrious halls of King’s College to hear of real scandal, imagined murder, and to learn what exactly is in that mysterious cabinet. Do pay us a call for your favourite chapters or stay the whole day - all are welcome!
What: Jane Austen Live! A marathon reading of Northanger Abbey
Where: The KTS Lecture Hall, 2nd floor of the New Academic Building, University of King’s College (6350 Coburg Rd)
When: Saturday, November 30th, from 8 AM – 8 PM
Why: Jane Austen Live! is a free event, but donations will be accepted at the door in support of The Halifax Humanities Society. The Society is a non-profit organization committed to offering free, non-credit, university-level humanities education to adults living on low incomes in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Students from a range of ages and backgrounds come together with volunteer university professors to study the great works of Western philosophy, literature, political theory, theology, and art, at no cost whatsoever to students. These classes can be life-changing, and are only possible with your support.
