30yr old male bassist looking to put together a British covers/tribute band.
The aim is to evolve a set list & band that plays British rock/pop. My own personal influences are 60s mod & 90s Britpop, but it would be nice to play a wide variety on the British theme, so I’m open to all suggestions (literally)!
Looking to have a laugh as a Brit who’s recently moved here with previous weddings band experience in England. Practise a bit, commit to a democratically chosen set list, then proceed to play a couple of pubs to see how it goes down live.
Really not looking for egos, rulers, or those looking to break the world with originality. Simply a pub covers band, whose members have a laugh whilst playing a few British tunes.
I believe there to be a niche market for this category of band if the wheels were ever to start rolling… I am confident pub gigs would not be hard to come by for a cohesive outfit.
Song choice should not pose a problem given the cannon to choose from, and the openness of members.

Seeking a drummer to fill out a 4 piece within a reasonable driving distance to (or from) north Durham/ Kawartha Lakes. The guitarist (me), bassist and singer are 50'ish and have started to rehearse a dozen tunes, getting ready for more!
We are new to one another but have established a good foundation with biweekly rehearsals. All have gigged before and are looking forward to performing again. Our tastes are varied but generally fit rock and some blues genres. Some bands that we're covering to start -

My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. This year, I'm building my independent music school from my home studio. (Big Project!) Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums. (Drums taught by another teacher) We will discuss: Structure (Form), Harmony, Melody, Counterpoint, Sightreading and Improvisation while meeting the technical demands of instrument.
Each lesson will be 30 - 45 minutes with the option to have the lesson at your location/home. My rates are fair and negotiable. We all have our lives and circumstances going on; it's okay. I am a recording enthusiast who is competent at some elements of recording, but ducking/sidechaining is eluding me. I need someone to come in and sit at my desk and walk me through some ways to duck one music track with intermittent vocals from another. I'm using Reaper but I'd imagine any seasoned DAW user could help. I'm willing to pay for a session. I am a guitar/bass player and aspiring recording engineer. I have a current song I need drums for. I've hired a few drummers off of Fiverr for this particular song but haven't been able to get what I need since it has some tricky off-time parts. I have a set of Roland TD30KVS here, but as a mere hobbyist drummer I'm not good enough to pull it off. I think I could work it out with a real drummer if I had one here in the studio.
The kit is set up left handed since I am, but it's a real pain to switch it to right hand. If there's any left handed drummers out there interested in giving this a go I'd like to hear from you. I'm willing to pay for a track that I will use. The genre is hard rock.

In person automotive flea market and car show May of 2022. Our event is the weekend AFTER May long weekend and has something for the entire family. Since its inception at the armoury in Blackstock, the Antique Automobile Club of America, Ontario Region has been hosting its automotive flea market and car shows for over 49 years. We have grown in size to include over 600 outside vending sites and over 200 inside vending sites.
Located at the Lindsay Fair Grounds at the intersection of Angeline St. South & Highway # 7, you will find everything automotive, past, present & future! From car parts to automotive themed clothing, toys, memorabilia, manuals, car brochures and much more.
There is a large car show both days, with DJ music and a Beer Garden. Come visit the club booth inside the Commonwell building.
Come for the day, or spend the weekend! There is on site camping and the host hotel, Days Inn & Suites is just north on Angeline St. There is all kinds of delicious food available onsite, and a beer garden for your enjoyment.
