SMOOTH CRIMINALTwo decades ago, the original Duke was nothing short of revolutionary. KTM’s first single-cylinder street bike grew into a cult classic, adding extreme fun to a raw and radical concept. In 2017, the fully revised 690 DUKE stays faithful to its ancestor’s ways, but adds future-proof refinements: impressive smoothness, sophisticated electronics, improved ergonomics and a good old power boost over last year’s model. This firmly cements the world’s strongest single-cylinder production motorcycle at the cutting edge of engineering. Speaking of which: carving corners has never been more fun, thanks to its revised fork offset. Long live the Duke!
Features may include:- ENGINE
The brilliant LC4 showcases twenty-four carats of fun. From the trademark 690 cm³ thumper, the engineers have now extracted a whopping 73 hp (54 kW) and 74 Nm of torque, making light work of the equally lightweight 690 Duke. How it happened? They completely reworked the cylinder head, inserted a new, ultra light and extremely strong piston and connection rod, rerouted the air intake through a resonator chamber and provided the new crankshaft with new sleeve bearings. As a result, the powerband now is a thousand rpm wider, which means an even more uniform power delivery, especially in the mid to high rev range. Twin ignition featuring plug-selective mapping, rock solid but featherweight internals and optimized intake and exhaust systems cultivate this massive mono to be as strong as it is smooth, assisted by an advanced ride-by-wire system with three riding modes, which guarantees great refinement as well as low fuel consumption and emission figures. You’re green, while they’re green with envy. And you haven’t even begun mentioning upmarket goodies like a standard slipper clutch.
- NEW CYLINDER HEAD
Inside the new cylinder head, the exhaust valves are actuated by roller rockers while the camshaft powers the intake valves. Therefore, the ignition timings can be controlled with far greater accuracy. The result is more peak power over a broader rev range. Win-win!
- SECOND BALANCER
In a free-revving firecracker like this, you want to smooth things out a bit. That’s why the camshaft serves as a bonus balancer shaft, nipping annoying vibrations in the bud.
- ENGINE MANAGEMENT
The electronic engine management system lives to make the LC4 shine. Twin ignition with individual mappings for each spark plug ensures that your precious fuel is always burned to perfection, irrespective of load and engine speed. And then there is genuine ride-by-wire, in other words: Electronically controlled throttle valve actuation without any mechanical linkage. You’d be forgiven for thinking it runs on cream. Whipped cream, that is.
- FRAME AND SWINGARM
The 9 kg tubular trellis frame made from chrome-molybdenum steel and the equally lightweight, smoking hot swingarm, die-cast in aluminum, impress with extreme levels of torsional stiffness, providing the 148,5 kg Duke with excellent tracking stability and a continuous flow of information to the rider. New triple clamps lower the fork offset, which underlines this characteristic even further. You’ll notice.
*Plus Tax. 120 Months. $0 Down Payment. OAC. Conditions apply and extended warranty coverage is limited – talk to our finance office for all the details.

Selling my Classic 85 - 1100 Shadow, 1st year Honda came out with the 1100 cc, just under 60000 Km which is nothing for a Honda, 5 speed , saddle bags, windshield .
Bike runs great, lots of fun, hate to sell but upgraded
I have some spare parts, I picked up a 85 1100 bike that was crashed with 10000km ( stored in side for years ) Please contact by phone or text at 807-407-2415. David
It is a liquid cooled, 1,099 cubic centimetres (67.1 cu in), 45 degree V-twin.
It has a bore and stoke of 87.5mm x 91.4mm with an 8:1 compression ratio. It is a chain driven, single overhead cam SOHC, V2, with 3 valves and 2 spark plugs per cylinder. The valves are hydraulically actuated, requiring little, if any, maintenance over the life of the engine. They come with dual 36mm diaphragm-type CV carburetors and a solid state digital ignition.
Depending on application and tuning, The dual pin crankshaft models produce at the crankshaft (brake horsepower) ~62 horsepower (46 kW) @ 5000 rpm and ~69 pound force-feet (94 N⋅m) @ 2750 rpm. Single pin crank models produced about 5 horsepower (3.7 kW) and 5 pound force-feet (6.8 N⋅m) less. The 1985-1986 models produced about 78.4 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 73 ft lbs @ 4,500rpm. These engines came with a 5 speed manual transmission (1985-1986, shaft drive.Additional info:

This bike has treated me well for the three years of owning it. Lots of fun! Enjoyed the zippy acceleration it provides. It's just large enough to feel comfortable on the highway. Lots of jam to keep up and pass traffic. Everything is stock with the exception on the brake and clutch levers. The exhaust is changed out as well. New Battery. there will be no issues on a safety. Clean Title. Affordable INSURANCE which was my favorite part!
More pictures to come!

Looking for a project, specifically a cb550 or 750 from the mid 70's but will consider others, the older the better. Broken down, basket case or stalled projects preferred, not looking to spend a ton. Let me know what you have.

96' Road King is painted satin black and is in very good shape, comes with a Vance & Hines dual exhaust system, new rear tire, front tire is in good condition, primary seal replaced, tensioner shoe replaced, head gaskets replaced. Also comes with original windshield, rear seat and backrest. Bike has 90,691 kms. I purchased the bike from BC and it has a Rebuilt status on it, the previous owner mentioned it was only superficial damages and they were all repaired. Ontario has issues with Rebuilt status bikes but Manitoba has some work arounds I believe. Besides that the bike runs and drives but needs a new battery.

I'm asking $4800, but I'm not opposed to trading for a ski-doo MXZ 600 E-tech, with low km and in good condition. Preferably 2012+
Bike has loose km being just over 600km. Properly broken in, using 91 octane. Motul oil after break-in. I don't track or beat on it and I'm a casual rider.
All is in great condition, tires are great, stored in a garage and it's ready to ride. Amazing on insurance at only $22/month.
I'm selling because I don't use it enough.
