Meet Jr!
Jr is starting his search for the perfect family, and it must be perfect!
He is a 20 year old , registered standardbred gelding, that never raced. He stands approximately 15hh.
He spent a lot of time being a kids camp horse, I think he’s done his duty and would like to find a leisure home.
He is a very intuitive guy and would find his best match with someone who is aware of their emotions and feelings.
He is good for the vet and farrier, respectful of fencing, does well in a small herd, has been with mares, geldings, ponies & donkey.
He would make a great companion and occasional trail type horse!
I rode him bareback with his halter and he walked around like he hadn’t had a day off! He stopped at the gate a couple times, but worked through it quickly.
He is UTD with vaccines, teeth, farrier, worming. Enjoys his Bemer !
He is becoming much more comfortable in the barn, consistency is all he needs.
He is happy to live in or out and is on a simple diet fed 1x per day.
Jr will go with his blankets , so his new home will not have to worry about outfitting him!
I’m not going to be allowing a bunch of trial rides. My primary goal is to find a home where he will be able to live the retired life he deserves with the ability to take his human on occasional rides.
He is located in Toledo, Ontario
Happy to help arrange transportation.
$1500

Companion looking for new acreage I maybe having to move and it's unfortunate that I may have to find him a home. He would be best suited as a companion as he has sat for a very long time before I even got him he has been a pasture puff before me getting him and I have had him for about a year and a half now. When I got him I was told he has been ridden in the past but when got him home I wasn't able to get a saddle on him until recently. If you work slow with him he will come around. He wouldn't even let you brush him. He now let's me brush put his saddle on but that's as far as I have gotten with him I put weight in stirrups and he moves bum away so he's a work in progress if you want him rideable. He is older 17-18 roughly. And hes a gelding. Thank you

Looking for a horse, does NOT need to be fancy but SOUND and SANE and BROKE are major needs. I’d like to use this horse for trails, pleasure riding in the sand arena, and going to a few local club shows and entering into the fun classes. I’d like to do a payment plan or “lease to own” situation or possibly a free lease for the summer and have the horse paid in full by October if it works out. I ride mostly western but do ride English from time to time. Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you :)

But still best suited for companion he is a doll once he gets to know you thank you

If the add is still up, she is still available. Grade QH. 15hh. Bay, some chrome.Late teens no exact age, had her teeth floated in February ( wich she really benefited from) . She has bad stifles, and there is evidence of having at least her left one " cut" surgically, in laymans terms. She can definitely handle some light riding, vet cleared and recommended jogging her up gentle hills to build her stifles up, and thats what I do . I am only selling her as a light riding horse. I have rode her 2, 3 x a week without her coming up sore and she can definitely handle more rides with bute. She does wtc stop and back up but isnt super educated . Shes never spooked, bolted bucked or reared while I have been on or had her. I have used her to check cows in pretty muddy conditions and she did great for me . Dont see why you couldn't breed her, if she doesnt sell for the $1500 I will be breeding her and using her for the odd trail ride this summer when people who dont ride, want to ride something that is happy to follow. She could be sold with a live breeding contract to a large sport pony residing locally for an additional $1000 with LFG .Shes mid to upper horse in my herd, still a spunky middle aged lady out in the pens/pasture, runs alot so I dont get too concerned about her stifles, never seen them lock up just being honest about it ! lives in a mixed herd. She's on oats, good quality square bales and alfalfa pellets in winter as she could use some weight, but I will be cutting all grain out In another month as they turn to pasture. I can not help with shipping, pick up only is in Yarker Ontario. She comes with her winter blanket and her open jug of bute and MSM ( both are right around $20 for over a monthes supply) . She is going to be the safest and soundest you will find in this price range .Test rides are only welcome if you can show OEF or similar insurance, otherwise we can show you under saddle at your request. Teeth, feet, worming and vaccine UTD. Im not taking a dime less than $1500 so please dont ask, nor do we take payment plans on horses. I really dont have anybody around to help me get more pictures or videos , come out and meet her ! Prefer texts or calls to 613 328 7869 to set up viewing .

The Perfect Pony
Meet “Koda” a 9 year old varnish roan Appaloosa mare; measured in at approximately 9.3 HH (37.5”) and 330lb.
You will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful or suitable pony for children beginning their journey into the equestrian world, therapy work, driving or simply a darling addition to your farm; she is very friendly (always greets us with a whinny), loves attention, is bold and curious and has a very calm nature. For those versed in Parelli, she would be considered a Left Brained Extrovert.
Koda is in great health and has very good hooves, especially for a pony- she’s be consistently trimmed and always been in a dry lot (kept off grass), fed through a slow feeder system and has never had laminitis/founder. For those interested, we have slow motion video showing her heel first landings, at trot, and she has not shown any sensitivity to moving on hard surfaces or gravel.
She has incredible environmental exposure to animals, such as: dogs, cats, poultry, pigs, goats, alpacas, cows, and machinery, such as cars, snow plow and tractors. She’s also been walked out in all weather: pouring rain, snow storms, late nights and not much phases this little cutie.
In terms of training, Koda leads very well: walk, trot, canter in hand. She has played around a lot with liberty this winter in our 6 acre field and will often follow us around like a dog. She has done some ground driving (on a halter)-boldly moves ahead, with almost zero concerns, so she would be a fantastic candidate to train to drive or skijor with. She has also been trained to lunge on verbal commands: woah, walk, trot and canter.
She has been shown in conformation (won her class) years back and has had children on her, while led, but she is not trained under saddle or with a bit, as we do not have small children. She would likely take very well to this, given the appropriate training.
A few other neat things:
•both in her stall and paddock, she poops in one spot!
•she is trained to respond to a whistle, which has actually come in very handy on a few occasions!
•she’s never been ill or bred
•while she is very calm, a few liberty sessions she’s shown us that she can be one very fast little pony
•will walk through puddles
•happy to jump over logs
•no spook with ropes or lines being tangled under foot
•she has pulled cart with kids, with zero concern, while being led
She was last wormed in November. Her teeth are in good repair but, like any horse, should be done prior to beginning training with any bit work.
All-in-all, she’s truly “one in a million” type in both looks and personality!!
Currently she’s become the only equine on the farm and between that and my business really picking up, I’m looking to see if she may find a special home that could provide her appropriate companionship, adore her and give her lots of time and love; She loves to get out and explore!
Only approved homes will be considered and viewings will be vetted accordingly.
If you think you could provide this little darling with an excellent life, reach out :)
