If you’re looking for entry-level training that will help you obtain work in the red-hot construction field, apply today to the Foundations For Trades program!
Foundations For Trades is a training program offered jointly in Brantford, Ontario, by St. Leonard’s Community Services and Conestoga College. Participants receive the following:
• 5 weeks of hands-on training in the basics of print reading, carpentry, plumbing and electrical taught by industry professionals!
• A College Certificate in Construction Foundations from Conestoga College, upon successful completion of the program!
• Important certifications like Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms training, and First Aid!
• A 2-4 week job placement with a local construction employer in order to gain work experience in the industry!
• Valuable pre-employment workshop information about resumes, interviewing, construction career planning, and measuring!
This free program is offered to participants who are:
• 18 years + (if 18, a high school diploma is required, if over 18 no high school diploma required)
• Unemployed or working less than 20 hours a week
• Interested in pursuing a career in the booming construction industry
