Re: Don't camp in The District Kent-Agassiz BC
The mayor thinks it's more important to waste tax payers dollars putting up No RV overnight parking signs, plus 2 hour parking signs in an industrial park. The mayor didn't know or talk to any of the business/property owners. All have my phone number to call in case of emergencies.
The mayor doesn't like looking at my RV from 500' (150 meters) to 700' (213 meters) down the road from where she walks.
District of Kent/Agassiz, BC is supposed to be a tourist town.
I am in the District of Kent-Agassiz BC having my RV worked on by a local Agassiz garage who has done all my vehicles maintenance for over a decade. I also have a home!
How does harassing someone who has 30 years experience enforcing the law help the residents, businesses, tourism or community?
Maybe this wasted money could go to adding additional police, mental health services, charity or homeless programs, which will help clean up the community!
I lived and paid taxes in the District of Kent/Agassiz for 10 years and supported the Agassiz community for over 30 years. I still support over 15 different businesses in the community.
Some of the businesses in the community have informed me that they feel their community is a safer place with me around.
The mayor herself shops in Chilliwack to save money and doesn't support her own community of small businesses because they are too expensive.
The harassment, threats and lies the District of Kent employees and mayor have said about me is pathetic, unprofessional and are not warranted.
Help spread the word, it could be a review in the District of Kent Google reviews section, repost on Facebook, Instagram, other social media platforms. Anything you can do is appreciated!

Le chalet Blue Moon est parfait pour accueillir 6 personnes avec sa chambre King au rez-de-chaussée et un autre lit Queen dans le salon au rez-de-jardin plus sa chambre mansardée au 2e étage (2 lits simples), et jusqu'à 8 personnes avec un divan-lit double dans le nouveau salon du garage.Le rez-de-chaussée, entièrement à aire ouverte, comprend une cuisine très lumineuse grâce à la fenestration de son toit cathédrale (d'où l'on aperçoit la lune) dont l'îlot de 6 pi X 3 pi se transforme en salle à manger. peut accueillir 8 personnes confortablement assises. Et qui se transforme en table de ping pong !
Un espace bar avec cellier et mini frigo, un salon avec un grand divan inclinable, une télévision intelligente avec Bell Fibe et chromecast, la salle de bain principale et la chambre des maîtres avec lit King complètent le rez-de-chaussée.
Une autre chambre mansardée est située à l'étage avec un lit simple et il y a un autre lit simple (lit gigogne) qui est caché dans un tiroir glissé sous le lit. Idéal pour enfants/ados ou personne seule avec sa salle de bain intime.
La 2e chambre avec lit Queen est au rez-de-jardin. Il y a un écran motorisé de 100 pouces ainsi qu'un projecteur équipé d'un Chromecast pour visionner votre Netflix ou notre Bell Fibe. Un espace bureau y est également installé pour le télétravail.

This is a fantastic vacation spot with a great three bedroom cottage plus a separate sleeping cabin. The well equipped cottage provides plenty of privacy and well manicured gardens make this an enjoyable and comfortable cottage for anyone looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy some fishing and swimming. Two of the three bedrooms have queen size beds and the third has a double bed. The sleeping cabin has a double bed and standard size bunk beds.
Located on a small quiet lake about 45 minutes north of Kingston and approximately 1.5 hours from Ottawa. This is a nice central location for meeting friends or family from Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa.
Potable drinking water is provided from a drilled well. Water quality is excellent and is tested regularly.
Two canoes and a paddle boat are provided.
Fishing is very good so be sure to bring fishing equipment.
There is a fire pit on the point that provides a beautiful site for relaxing and enjoying the night sky. (Wood in reasonable quantity is provided.)
Peaceful yet close to shopping and golf if you need a break! Wifi is available, security code will be provided.

Whippoorwill Valley Cottages on Calabogie Lake is a quiet oasis for families. We offer six, family affordable cottages on a 6 1/2 acre property with 350 feet of the best sand beach on the lake.
We open up our cottages on the Victoria Day Holiday Weekend in May. Two night minimum stays are available until June 16 then we switch to Summer Peak Season and weekly rentals. ONE WEEK MINIMUM with FRIDAY TO FRIDAY stays, so that everyone can enjoy a full, continuous weekend relaxing at the beach.Our facility includes a one bedroom, 2 x two bedrooms and 3 x three bedrooms with a massive private waterfront,
nestled into 6.5 acres of forest with private sand beach.
Each cottage is unique in itself and all have their own special attributes and large, private yards. All cottages have cable television. The very large waterfront offers a great deal of space so that guests never feel crowded while relaxing on the waterfront.Lee's Hollow and Luke's Lair have BELL FIBE high speed internet suitable for ZOOM meetings, streaming, etc.
These two cottages are NOT pet friendly.
Our four summer cottages have internet service through a central router on the waterfront which means you can check emails, browse, etc. but Office Zoom meetings would be a bit sketchy.
Very brief description of each cottage follows below. After receiving your enquiry with number of persons and the makeup of your group, preferred dates and preferred cottage, we promptly respond with appropriate availability and a collection of photos. This charming 4-season cottage was originally built in the 1960’s. Staying there will take you back to a simpler time. Swimming, reading, games and birdwatching are some favourite activities.
Light pollution is at a minimum , so stargazing and looking for northern lights can be spectacular sitting by the fire on the beach.
In winter, the wood stove will keep you warm after cross country skiing
or ice fishing on the lake.
