Job Description:Job Description We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our team to manage and facilitate the Domestic Violence Treatment Program, as well as provide individual counselling services to our clients. The Mental Health Therapist position will focus primarily on program management; client intakes, organizing and co-facilitating Family Violence Treatment Program. The therapist will assist in the enhancement of participant's competencies through assessment, group facilitation, education/information and support. The therapist will also be responsible for providing individual counselling treatment to individuals referred for domestic violence treatment, as well as provide individual counselling services to clients seeking regular private counselling services. Must be available to work evenings two to three days per week. Duties include but are not limited to:Co-facilitate psychotherapy groups and individual counselling to mandated clientsProvide individual counselling to clients seeking servicesConduct client intakesComplete program documentation of client participation and progressAttend regular meetingsComplete quarterly and annual reportingManage scheduling of ACS Inc. Domestic Violence team, and (scheduling and organizing Domestic Violence staff meetings)Maintain client records in a timely fashion that are clear, concise and inclusive.Liaise with Team members including relevant community professionals, and make appropriate referrals for the purpose of obtaining evaluations, diagnosis and/or utilizing appropriate community resources.Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clientsOther duties as assigned or assigned by supervisor Required Skills:Registered Psychologist, Registered Provisional Psychologist, or Masters level Social Worker (Clinical), in good standing with applicable college.Experience working with individuals and families with mental health issues or other issues that impact motivation, behavior, and adjustment difficultiesPrevious experience in delivery of psychosocial interventions to persons experiencing domestic violence, mental illness and addictions, as well as previous experiencing facilitating and co-facilitating group counselling interventions is an asset.Professional liability insuranceClear criminal record checkStrong organizational skillsEffective time managementAbility to work independentlyAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to maintain confidentiality of client’s personal information Job ID: 45042739
