Welcome to our quaint, 4-season cottage, located on the waterfront of Buckham’s Bay. Just 25 minutes out of Kanata, 40 minutes from downtown Ottawa, it’s ideal for a couple or small family retreat away from the city.
After a day of fishing, boating, sunbathing or swimming right from the river-stone beach or the 60ft dock, relax in one of the six cherry-red Muskoka chairs on the lower patio, or enjoy a meal watching blue heron from the deck. At night, relax, star gazing from the campfire with the supplied firewood. In the winter months, try your hand at ice-fishing or bring up your snowmobile. If your intent is to work, the WIFI is very good and allows for streaming with a supplied Fire TV Stick. You can bring your own VHS tapes/DVD’s or watch one of ours.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one queen and one twin/full bunkbed. The living room has an additional double sleeper sofa. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ and laundry facilities. A spectacular monthly rental opportunity in Mont Carmel, PEI. The Carmel Sands Beach House is available for rent in the off season until to June 30th 2024. The property is on the Northumberland Strait, just 20 minutes west of Summerside.
This unique destination belongs to the Carmel Sands Condos and Chalets property situated on 140 acres. In the past, the beach house was used as a restaurant (La Lobster Shack); however, it has been converted to a unique Beach House accommodation.
This three bedroom beach house offers an open-concept living arrangement where there are two bedrooms (queen bed and double bed) separated by curtains from the great room which allows the picturesque view to be seen through the abundance of windows overlooking the strait. We have recently converted the old commercial kitchen area into a fully enclosed master bedroom off the great room and regular kitchen. It has a king size and single bed.
The huge great room has a fully functional bar, extra large family dining table, 55” Smart TV, free WIFI, computer work space and more! There is a full kitchen and a bathroom with bathtub/shower, two toilet stalls and double sinks.
The outside patio has an inflatable seasonal Coleman hot tub for your exclusive use and your own maintenance until the end of December (weather dependent). You can watch the waves, tides, birds, stars and the most incredible sunsets. There are also tables and chairs, a small BBQ, and solar patio lights.

The property was known in the community as a restaurant with beach access, so there may be visitors on the property, however, private signs are posted. There is beach access and parking permitted to Carmel Sands residents who reside across the road where the pool is located.
