Position – Breakfast Server
Salary: $18.00 per hour + Tips
Available Shifts: Wednesday to Sunday, 7:55 AM – 11:15 AM
Job type: Part-time, Seasonal
Qualifications: Serving: 1 year (Preferred), must have legible printing or handwriting. MUST have reliable transportation (no on-site staff houses).
Position Summary

We consider ourselves extremely lucky to be able to meet and serve people from all different parts of the world, thousands of tourists get drawn to Algonquin Park and the natural beauty of the area, and we’re proud to be reopening our cozy dining room that overlooks Spring Lake in Dwight, but we need your help. The core members of our team Jack, Irene, and Patrick Pobojewski try to keep a warm and open relationship with both our guests and staff. But, unlike other family businesses, we really value your time and your life outside of work as well, because we know that it takes a special someone to enjoy the fast-paced environment in the restaurant industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Greeting guests and engaging with visitors.
• Seating guests at tables.
• Maintaining a positive and warm atmosphere with customers.
• Offering guests information as they request or getting the attention of other staff that can help, explaining to them how to navigate the property, and informing them of rules that they should be aware of during their stay.
• Serving food and beverages.
• Keeping a clean and safe workspace.
• Mixing alcoholic drinks for guests and customers and distributing them.
• Keeping track of inventory for drinks and front-of-house operations.
• Being proactive in communicating requests, odd occurrences, and issues to your team.
• Helping the flow of information by communicating with the rest of your teammates.
• Processing payments and guest checkouts with a POS terminal.
• Transcribing takeout orders and distributing orders from the front desk.
• Being respectful of cultural differences.
• Maintaining the front desk area.
• Working independently or as a team.
• Handling occasional disgruntled customers and unknown obstacles.
Ideal Skills for This Position:
• Optimistic attitude and willingness to learn.
• Care for the customer experience.
• Prior restaurant serving experience (recommended).
• Positive and effective verbal communication.
• Willingness to help and get things done.
• Any prior knowledge of how to mix drinks.
• Smart serve certified at the time of starting.
• Able to manage monetary transactions and keep record of tips/hours.

The pay begins at $18/hour plus, additional raises are available based on consistent and reliable performance. Any tips given during work are added to the base pay, additional incentives (ex. Bonuses) are also available for excellent performance!
Working Conditions
• Morning shifts are available on both weekdays and weekends.
• Long periods of walking, standing, and occasionally carrying up to 25 lbs.
