About the Position
Spring Lake Resort is open seasonally - Our restaurant is open from May 12th to October 15th: Tuesday - Friday, morning / day shift. Availability for Weekend shifts
At Spring Lake Resort our approach is simple - we want to provide a satisfying dining experience for our guests. We aim to make food that is fresh, simple, and tasty. We are searching for a chef who is able to work morning and lunch shifts in the Spring Lake Resort Restaurant five days per week; preparing dishes from a menu with consistent quality, making soups, preparing ingredients for dinner, and washing dishes, while keeping the kitchen clean and food safe. We really value your time and your life outside of work as well, because we know that it takes a special someone to enjoy the fast-paced environment in the restaurant industry.
To best clarify what this role looks like in real life, as a chef you are the primary chef for breakfast and lunch in our restaurant team at Spring Lake Resort. You would be expected to work Monday-Friday, from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. It’s not a large restaurant (max occupancy is ~50 people), but it keeps you busy; as you would be responsible for: preparing ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; fulfilling orders from the dining room, as well as doing dishes and keeping your workspace clean. The owners; Jack, Irene, and Patrick Pobojewski are always around, so when things get busy we’re here to help, just divided between helping in different areas depending on what’s necessary.
