Local bespoke handyman and general property management concierge services (this post is primarily for property checks this winter though; many more services available, so don’t hesitate to inquire about these as well).
I’ve been doing this strictly word of mouth for the last few years as I wanted to make sure I never agreed to anything I couldn’t finish/complete on time.
Why?
Well, how often have you had someone agree to do something only to then postpone for a bit and ultimately just ghost you?
Everyone says yes to everything and then can’t keep up.
Not how I operate.
Now that I have a very established core customer base, I’m looking to extend my services beyond family friends; friends of friends; relatives and friends of long term customers etc.
$75 per visit for property checks.
Property checks can be done with or without a key (insurance purposes may require you to give me access to the cottage; however, in my experience so long as you don’t have any utilities running inside - propane furnace, water, electricity etc. - then an outside check is more than sufficient).
During these property checks if I come across anything such as:
- Downed/potentially dangerous trees and branches
- Bubbler/dock issues
- Roof; deck; dock snow removal
I’m available for hire (at additional costs; either a flat rate quote or my standard hourly rate of $70/hr) to take care of them immediately.
If it’s an issue outside of my skill set, I have a network of dedicated subcontractors/local tradespeople contacts with whom I can put you in touch - and they too will answer their phone/text messages, just like I always will.
I’m very straightforward with years of experience in the trades and other service based industries (良かったら日本語も全然大丈夫です。)
All property checks will be logged and photographed to your specifications.
