Groundskeeper/Nanny - *Working Couple Opportunity*
Ideally this would be filled by a working couple. Your masculine skillset includes woodworking basics, proficient at outdoor maintenance duties of a large estate. The ability to do moderate indoor repairs and maintenance. You have a solid work ethic, a good routine and high standards.
The feminine skillset would include part time nanny duties with two children under 10. Basic housecleaning and meal prepping. You are an animal lover, enjoy cooking and living in a peaceful setting.
Both of you know how to communicate your basic needs and set your schedule with the flexibility for assignments of specific tasks.
Setting is an idyllic Vancouver Island Oasis, carriage house on site for this unique, talented duo.

Yorkshire Rose Outdoor Renovations Ltd, is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher for its location in Nanaimo, BC. It’s a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position, $31.00/hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis. We don’t offer any employment benefits at this moment.

3 Valid LMIA's available for the right candidate.Job duties:
· Place, finish and repair concrete in landscaping construction projects such as patios and paths, retaining walls, and sidewalks for exterior areas;
· Read and act on blueprints and other plan documents;
· Mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry using a hoe, trowel, tamper, scraper or concrete mixing machine;
· Spread the concrete using shovels and rakes and level the freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specifications using straightedge or float;
· Remove high spots to smooth the surface using a hand masonry trowel;
· Wet concrete surface, and rub with stone to smooth surface and obtain specified finish;
· Install anchor bolts, door sills, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete;
· Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using a power saw and drill;
· Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete and ensure that they have the desired depth and pitch;
· Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.
· Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment;
· Occasionally perform various carpentry and landscaping duties – training will be provided if necessary.
Requirements:
· Must have at least 2 years of experience working with concrete;· Must have a valid driver’s license;
· Must have knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various concrete finishing projects;
· Previous experience as a concrete finisher in a landscaping company is an asset;
· Previous experience as a carpenter and landscaper is an asset;
· Must be able to speak, read and write in English;
· Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and client focus.

Looking for someone to help with the early morning care of my three boys ages 5,7,9 for 2 weeks per month during my work hours.This would involve arriving at my house for 05:30 Monday-Friday, as I work at 06:00.You would have to make the kids breakfast, get their school bags n stuff together( if I’m not able to get all the stuff ready the night before).Drive them to school for 08:30-40( bell rings at 08:46).Drive the oldest to their school for between 09:00-15.School pick up is a 14:00-15 for the oldest, then you would drive to get the other two for 14:36.You would then rustle up the herd and bring them back to my house, and I should be there for 16:30ish.These would be split shifts mon-Friday, roughly 6 working hours per day.I also may need you to help out sometime extra should I need to work late.This could be discussed.
