Seeking personal care support — for help with cleaning, tidying, meal prep, service dog support, outings, trips to the pharmacy, etc. — for a paraplegic client (mid-thirties). The client lives with two family members (one of whom is immunocompromised).
REQUIREMENTS:
-Good communication skills
-Professional demeanour
-Good bedside manner/friendly
-Respectful of the client's (and the client's family's) request for privacy
-Inclusive and accepting of people from many backgrounds (including those from the disabled and LGBTQ+ communities)
-A willingness to learn and to be mindful of the client's needs
-Efficient worker
-Proof of COVID vaccination (against the most recent strain)
-Able to travel to Scotsburn for shift-work
-Recent Criminal Record CheckASSETS:
-Experience working with disabled clients
-Experience working with service dogs (and dogs in general), and able to remain in control of the dog
-Has a license and vehicle/can driveEDUCATION/BACKGROUND:
