I'm creating a new podcast called (for now anyway) "John and Mary Haves a Talk." The idea is that John and Mary are a couple who live in St. John's and the topic of each episode would be something that SJ'ers could relate to. For example, I've already written one episode where they have a debate/argument about which is better milk, Brookfield or Central Dairies.
Each episode would be about 5 minutes long and I would do all the writing and audio production and editing and all that. Your job, as Mary, would be just to have a Google Meet call with me and we would then record the show based on a script I have written. We could even record more than one at a time.
I'm thinking that we would start out at one episode a week, but increase to two, especially if it was getting lots of downloads. I've got lots of experience in hosting several podcasts.
The qualifications:
- You have to have a good sense of humour
- You have to be able to do (or already have!) a good Newfie accent
- You need to be reliable
- You don't need to be a professional (I'm not!), but you need to be enthusiasticLet me know if you're interested.

Does your eating get out of control? Do you have eating binges? Are you a transgender, nonbinary, two-spirit, or genderqueer person aged 18 or older?
University of Calgary researchers are seeking trans and gender-diverse people who binge eat to help us learn more about the role of personality in eating behaviors. Gender-diverse people include transgender, nonbinary, two-spirit, genderqueer people, and anyone who identifies as non-cisgender. Participation will take approximately 2 hours of your time. I am a disabled senior without a vehicle who wants to connect with a youth charity to discuss a recycling donation plan. I’m hoping to connect with someone associated with running a hockey club or a girl guides type group that is interested in creating a scheduled donation agreement.

Please know the recyclables I want to donate on a reoccurring and scheduled basis would have to include a pick up plan by a group volunteer as I have no means of delivering my contribution to any drop off location but am eagerly seeking to put my recyclables to good use!
