Young barred rock chicks. A week or so old.
Barred rocks are excellent coldly hardy chickens well suited to our climate. They do extremely well at free ranging.
They are a dual purpose bird and can be used as a laying hen for eggs or meat.
With the right free range area they are self sufficient and require little to no feed or maintenance.
