Note of caution: A colorful flyer came in the mail this week advertising that an out of province outfit will be in Truro Monday, May 1, to buy gold and silver. Be aware that these types of buyers only offer a fraction of what your coins are worth. Make sure you know the true value of your item! Talk to a local dealer or collector first for a free estimate so you don't get ripped off by these outfits that slip into town for a day.
The next regular monthly meeting of the Central Nova Coin Club is scheduled for May 1st. And the Club annual show and bourse will be held Sunday, May 21st, from 9AM to 3PM, at the Best Western Conference Centre on Willow Street in Truro, with sellers and buyers from across the Maritimes. There will be an auction of numismatic items Saturday evening at 7 PM. Everyone is welcome. Admission Sunday is three dollars for adults,, kids are free, and there will be door prizes.
Regular meetings of the Central Nova Coin Club are scheduled for 7 PM on the first Monday of each month throughout the year. Meetings are held in the large meeting space at the Truro Recreation Department Building (former Douglas Street School), 40 Douglas Street in Truro. Visitors are welcome.
There will be a short business meeting to deal with club activities, followed by an informational program on some aspect of numismatics. Then there will a mini auction of coins, tokens or paper currency brought in by members. Visitors are welcome to participate. Payment by cash only please. Department of Health Covid protocols at the time will be in effect and those who wish to wear masks are encouraged to do so.
There will be club members present who are knowledgeable and happy to appraise old coins, tokens and paper currency, and provide a free estimate of their value. You should always know the value of your collectable items before you part with them. It is wise to obtain an appraisal from a numismatist or a collector you know and trust.
Always BEWARE of the outfits with fancy advertising that flit into town on a weekend and only pay a very small percentage of what a coin is actually worth. We have heard so many horror stories of people who have been ripped off. DO NOT BECOME VICTIM OF THESE UNSCRUPULOUS OUTFITS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW THE TRUE VALUE OF YOUR COIN.
CLUB TIP : -Never, NEVER clean or polish old coins; it will ruin the collectable value. Too many coins with potential value have been ruined by someone trying to make the coin shine.
Anyone with an interest in coin, token or paper currency collecting is welcome to attend one of our meetings. Perhaps you will be interested in joining this popular hobby group. Just show up, or if you wish more information, please use this contact message or google Central Nova Coin Club or check out our club Facebook page.

Is there anything I can participate in that may be helpful in understanding these questions and why the answers may be helpful for my existence on this Earth?
Please feel welcome to join our small and humble group!!

If you are interested in any form of DIY farming, Homesteading, Co-operative farming or off grid living now is the time to get started. As you are no doubt aware, there is more concern than ever about food prices and short supplies on the horizon. We can counteract this by growing our own food and raising our own livestock. DIY means "do it yourself" but that does not mean you cannot share labor and expenses with another or hire local labour to fill in when you are unavailable. The co-operative works on a "crop sharing" basis.
If this is something you may be interested in discussing please contact me as the planting season is coming quickly and there is much to do. As you will no doubt understand we must screen all members but on a first come basis. Please contact: fullcirclefarm22@gmail.com
We wish you the best no matter your plans moving forward!
Sincerely Yours

This is for an upcoming theatre show. Your friend would be surprised with something nice just for them.

Hello everyone,
I hope you all would be fine. I am 30 yo male, looking for a ride to Crystal Crescent beach on weekends from/to Halifax. If any of you have a plan to visit there preferably on weekend, kindly let me know. Other days could work too. I would pay for the gas and I am located at Halifax.
If you don't drive, you can still connect and we can work our way out to visit there.
Regards!
