JAZ Community Support Limited is a service provider approved by the Department of Community Services, Disability Support Program.
JAZ strives to provide exemplary services that support people with mental health, cognitive, intellectual, and/or physical challenges to achieve a life in the community that reflects the goals that the participants have identified for themselves.
JAZ Community Support Services has 2 Positions for Fulltime Community Mental Health Workers in our Independent Living Support Program in HRM. The compensation is $24.34 an hour plus approved mileage at the provincial rate, group medical, RRSP, paid vacation, sick time and other benefits.
We are also currently hiring for Casual Community Mental Health Workers.
The casual rate of pay is at $18.50 per hour plus approved mileage at the provincial rate.
Training in WHMIS, Safe Food Handling, Personal Care, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or MANDT, Non-Aversive Behaviour Management, Individual Program Planning, Medication Awareness, Fire and Life Safety Training, CPR and First Aid are an asset but required training is provided.
A reliable vehicle and valid NS Driver’s license is required.
A current and clear criminal records check with vulnerable sector search will also be required.
