P1 - Solution Architect

Our client is looking for a Solution Architect for a 6 months contract in Halifax with potential for multiple contract extensions.

Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Ensuring that all designs meet the standards.
Guiding on the effective use of solutions and architectures in order to achieve business outcomes in alignment with business requirements
Providing solution architecture design and recommendations to project team
Collaborating with project Business Analysts to understand business goals and support delivery outcomes
Collaborating with other Architects for successful delivery of program streams and individual projects
Ensuring alignment with the overall Application, Information and Technology principals
Accountability and adherence to the program/project’s defined project plan
Working with the project’s Program Director and Project Manager to achieve set tasks in the project plan.
Working with other project team resources as required.
Providing team leadership related activities not limited to, but including issue identification and resolution, risk identification and mitigation, planning for the execution of analysis and testing tasks, estimation of analysis and testing tasks, and resolution of outstanding business decisions
Supporting change management group.
Supporting project management to assist in planning activities and addressing risk and issues
Supporting the team for and during the execution and implementation to ensure project success.
Managing of time on tasks and delivery schedules
Working on relationship management activities as required
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of IT solution architecture experience or of senior IT consulting experience in an engagement manager role for the telecom industry MBA, Computer Science, or Engineering degrees would be an asset
Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and high tolerance of ambiguity
Polished written and verbal communication skills
