.
Virtual, charge-by-the-hour, drawing/drafting services.
I can do a lot of the services expensive architectural offices/firms offer for less $.
Produce a set of drawings PDF-file, for you to acquire a building-permit for your project.
Small-medium projects are suitable for my skill/experience level, & also because it is just 1-person doing this.
This is done buy-&-sell-website style, in the sense that there is no tax/paperwork/contracts, etc.
.
QUALIFICATIONS
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Fqrg-P-6WwX6Q5zNvq1F4ge_54saLFYw?usp=sharing
A 3.5-year ‘Ontario College Advanced Diploma’, in 'Architectural Technology'.
Graduated 2010.
I am an ‘Architectural Technologist’.
For years I was employed-&-worked in-office doing: mainly architectural design&drafting,,, & to a lesser-extent: interior design, structural engineering, & skatepark design&drafting (similar to landscape architecture).
I am Building Code knowledgeable/versed, & have a keyword-searchable PDF-copy to refer to.
Have been offering my services freelance like this, since 2020.
.
DISCLAIMER
I am not a full-on seasoned-pro, skill-level wise, @ this.
Know a-lot, but not a construction material-&-methods expert.
Still learning.
My $rate is lower to reflect that.
.
TYPES OF SERVICES
I have past work-experience of, am competent-in, & feel comfortable offering as a service are:
(These display in noticeably lower-quality when viewed in a web browser. Only way to see these in original/higher-quality, is to download the file to your device 1st, & then open the file.)

- Architectural 2D drafting / design. black & white drawings

.
- Interior design style drafting
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1YUrtoCzDsjUSXBRxZ1YNT1z67D2asytY?usp=sharing
I am not a full-on Interior Designer who does stuff down-to-the small-details like...selecting the appliances, plumbing fixtures, choosing all of the materials, colours, etc. I include this because I have worked in an interior design office as a drafter, & am familiar with that style (line-types/symbols etc) of drafting.
.
- Structural style drafting
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1WAo2NOvukSWc-uP7AmyXw_3rakO28mld?usp=sharing
I am not a Structural Engineer. I am not trained or licensed to be selecting the appropriate/strong-enough beam, column, etc, sizes, to handle certain loads/weight. I include this because I have worked in a structural engineering office as a drafter, & am familiar with that style (line-types/symbols, etc) of drafting.

PRICES (for the above services) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Free initial talks/consultation to discuss your project, & then after that I charge by the hour
$18/hr.
.
SECONDARY SERVICE I OFFER:
.
- Teaching / Lessons / Help
I can give online/virtual lessons on how to use AutoCAD or SketchUp. I've got AutoCAD 75%(rough estimate) mastered. SketchUp, 50% mastered. I can teach a lot, fast. Show you the best way to do things. Give you fast, on-the-spot answers & feedback. A better way to learn than watching Youtube videos.
Let's use TeamViewer, a free screen-sharing computer-program. With TeamViewer, both people can be looking @ 1-person's screen (yours or mine) simultaneously, talk to each-other, & control-&-use the cursor.
Just using our phones for the talking-to-each-other-part is the easiest I have found. With the program already installed https://www.teamviewer.com/en-us/teamviewer-automatic-download/ by both of us, we start by phone-calling each other, & I can guide you on how to start the screen-sharing. Start a timer once it's all set up & working.
$20/hr.
A minimum of 2-hours of lessons is required to be prepaid, prior to starting a 1st-lesson.
.
.
HOW THIS WORKS / MY TERMS / PAYMENT SYSTEM
.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
Digital money transfer, for everything.
.
I charge by the hour.
Hourly is the only way I feel comfortable doing this, /am-willing to do this.
.
* This is not a scam. There is an honest, reasonable person on the other end of this ad, ready to work/draft. I keep honest hours & work as fast as I can. I don't start an hour-timer until I've sat down, have your project/drawing open, & are beginning to start working on it. *
.
Without any initial-payment, on good-faith I'm willing to start working on your project, up to $100 worth of hours/work. Will send you progress-updates every few days. Progress-updates in the form of screenshots, showing where your drawings are @ presently, & my hours($$) so far. Keeping us both in-the-loop, & accountable. The screenshots are purposely lower-quality visually, as to not be sufficient-enough in quality for people to just print & use those & not pay me. When my work-hours hit one of the payment benchmarks (see next paragraph), I'll send an invoice/payment-request, with the latest screenshots showing the completed drawings. I'll then request all unpaid hours be paid. When a payment is requested, work on your project will pause if not received within 2-days. Every time you pay, I will give you a copy of all of the computer files related to your project @ their current state. The computer files being…the exported multi-page PDF-file of the drawings, as well as the AutoCAD/SketchUp file (in case you need it later).
.
The next paragraph applies mainly to longer-running architectural-drafting projects.
I would like to be paid intermittently as the project goes on, & not just 1-lump-sum @ the end. This is for my payment-security type reasons. When the hours/bill gets to the ~$100 mark, I will show you what I have done so far, & request to be paid that. After that, I want to be paid @ ~$200 intervals.
This is what I mean:
-When the total hours/bill gets to $100, $100 will need to be paid. (A smaller, early/initial payment, to show me you are serious about this & will be paying your bills.)
-When the total hours/bill gets to $300, $200 more will need to be paid.
-When the total hours/bill gets to $600, $300 more will need to be paid.
.
[I could possibly charge via a ‘fixed fee’ (1 pre-agreed-upon amount) for non-architecture-related projects. 3D-modeling/rendering, etc]
.
.
AVAILABILITY
It is just me/1-person doing this. I generally do 1-project @-a-time from-start-to-finish. Write to me & I will tell you my present availability. If I am unavailable to start yours immediately I’ll give you an estimate of when I would be able to start your project.
.
.

I have a small mill and can work with you to saw up some logs.
.It’s not a production mill, so I don’t do hundreds of board feet, but milling for live edge, mantels…beams, things like that.
The pictures are of ash and maple that I milled.
If you need a slab milled, I’d do that in exchange for some nice big spruce, hemlock or pine log. I’m really in need for some 12” to 20” x 13’ logs.
I can mill upwards of 30”, depending on the log. 20” is pretty comfortable. 10” to 15” are good.
It’s a chainsaw mill, so you will end up with nice surfaces and accurate dimensions.
The Kerf is 1/4” and boards are cut in quarters.
I’m in the Porter Lake area.
Not looking to get rich, just a hobby that I enjoy and would like to walk away with some slabs or lumber for projects…or some cash of course to help cover costs.
Thanks!

I am currently accepting new clients and reservations for 2024. I am located in Lawrencetown Beach, in a cozy one bedroom house with a large partially treed, unfenced yard. We are steps to the beach and the Salt Marsh Trail for daily adventures!
I have been walking, pet sitting and caring for dogs for over 10 years, and have had the pleasure of owning dogs my whole life. I have a natural understanding of a dog's needs and love to take the time to find out all of their unique quirks. During your dog's stay, they will enjoy a serene stay next to Lawrencetown Beach and the Salt Marsh Trail, a choice of afternoon runs, hikes, beach walks and/or parks, and each day will end in as much love and snuggles as they will allow!
I offer in-home boarding for $50/night for dogs over 1 year old, who are house trained and are well socialized with other dogs. I have a 9 year old gentle and quiet Shiba Inu who loves to welcome new friends.
I also offer house or farm sitting for $65/night in your home, if you require care for multiple pets. Rates may vary depending on the number of pets and care involved. I am experienced caring for dogs, cats, birds, horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens and other farm animals.
I am currently available for the month of February and April 2024. Contact me for further details. References available.
