Experienced Male Keyboardist and Male Lead Vocalist Wanted
For Established All 80s New Wave Cover Band(Based in around Kitchener Area)Some Background…
My name is Davey, I’m Drummer/Founder/Booking Agent for a very well to do All 80s New Wave band called Smile N’ Wave.
This band(for a cover band in the Nightclub/Hall/Summer Festival scene) has had a fantastic, long run of 9 years- we’ve seen amazing packed rooms, crazy parties and dancing crowds that always really enjoy what we have to offer.
But, all good things have to come to an end eventually-2 of our beloved friends/brothers have made the difficult decision(amicable of course)to end their tenure with SNW as of Halloween 2025 - they will be hugely missed by the 3 of us.
So, what to do?
*** ADVERTISING EARLY***
The SNW show just won’t be the same without them - so as of Halloween this fun chapter for the five of us after a great 9 year run is coming to a close.
My heart is all about performing 80s New Wave music - so after much thought, I’ve decided to definitely create a reinvented band/show/name with the remaining members(us being Drums, Guitar and Bass).
What I’m looking for…
Before I get into qualifications you should understand what you’re getting into…
The cover songs we perform are challenging both vocally and musically- each one has its own distinct style, sound and approach. They’re very androgynous, full of punk rock energy(the root of most New Wave) and loud. If you are unfamiliar with 80s New Wave you should really listen and absorb the sample list down below before reaching out so you’re 100% sure this is for you.
If I can describe this music it’s a combination of mainly European post punk dance music and 80s movie soundtrack hits.Qualifications (*Please Read)
Frontman
- Great Singing Voice with excellent range(Anything from David Bowie(Let’s Dance)(low)to Payola$(Eyes of A Stranger)/The Cult(She Sells)or possibly A-Ha(Take On Me)(high falsetto chorus)

- Hi End Mic and your Own Monitor
- Good Image(we dress 80s)
- Other instruments a huge assetKeyboardist

- A good understanding of strong, consistent volumes for all your samples
- Good Image(we dress 80s)
- Background Harmony a huge assetWhat you’ll also need to get the job(for both)
- Availability to perform Saturday nights throughout the year(planned/booked in advance) anywhere from around Burlington/Oakville/Milton to around Sarnia(weather based)
- Reliable Wheels
- We are going in on the ground floor- Mainly bars/nightclubs/halls for about $120 to $150 per guy(once established this should improve)
- Able to put song batches together(mainly for starts/endings and sound quality) during the odd week night or Sunday afternoon(we have 2 pay per hour rooms in either Kitchener or Guelph)
- Very fun band/show but we perform the songs exactly and work hard to produce a top quality performance so you need to bring your A Game and practiceIf you’re the guy text me and let’s discuss

Pine needle basketry is one of the oldest-known coiled basketry techniques. Relax and enjoy the scent of pine while creating a unique miniature basket!Woven and Twined Bark and Lily Leaf Basket (Beginner/Intermediate)
Many cultures and peoples around the world have used a variety of natural materials to create baskets that are both beautiful and utilitarian for thousands of years. I’ll also teach how to incorporate different colours of leaves into the design, as well as how to make a lashed rim.Mini Twined Baskets (Beginner)
Many cultures and peoples around the world have used a variety of natural materials to create baskets that are both beautiful and utilitarian. Grasses, reeds, pine needles, and bark are just a few of the examples of items that can be dried and turned into baskets. In this workshop, we’ll focus on learning about twining, a technique in which two wefts cross over each other between warps. A variety of materials will be on offer, including cattails, corn husks, lily leaves, and grasses, meaning each basket will be unique and created entirely from nature!

I am always in search of friends who like to cross country ski as well, snowmobile, skate, hike, fish (ice and summer) and even to just enjoy good coffee, flea market exploration and other reasons to get out of the house.

You were very beautiful, I wanted to say something to you when I first saw you getting food but you were with another girl. I remember we locked eyes when I went to the other side of the buffet seating area to look at the rock waterfall and walking back I saw you sitting, we gazed into each others eyes for a moment.
She is around 5'9-5'10 , thick legs and a big bum, pale brownish (pale light brown) looking skin tone, difficult to describe what her skin tone is, it was light skin but "dark white" if that makes sense, it was light with a slight light brown tint to it like pale brown. She was wearing a black top, long sleeves and black nylon material tight pants, don't think it was nylon but it was tight pants that weren't jeans.
I was the White/European man wearing blue jeans with writing engraved on it, a sparkly silver diamond skull on a blue t-shirt and a gold watch with a blue strap.
If you know her then please show her this, if you are her then please contact me, maybe we can get to know each other, go to square one mall some day or some where else, if you are not interested then I hope you can let me know.

Electric Crush, a Cambridge based Classic Rock Cover Band, is seeking a drummer!!! Lineup includes a female lead singer that also plays keys and rhythm guitar, an incredible shredder on lead guitar, and an amazing bassist. We perform typically about once a month, sometimes a little more, at various venues, and our repertoire includes intricate songs that go beyond the usual cover band setlists. And can be found here: https://electriccrush.wixsite.com/electriccrush/music
We're seeking a drummer who is proficient in playing complex classic rock tracks, available for monthly gigs and weekly rehearsals, and has a love for classic rock. We're a fun, dedicated group that loves making music together. You'll get to play songs that challenge your skills and stand out from the crowd, with regular gigs at popular venues.
We will travel approx 2 hours out of town for gigs - We will likely be headlining Bowmanville Ribfest this year, and one of our favourite spots is Twisted Arm in Sarnia. We also play regularly at Sherkston Shores and have two gigs lined up there for this summer.
We have a number of gigs lined up and can likely fill the void with other drummers while we get someone up to speed. We have a fully equipped practice space at my house in Cambridge, and like to practice one weekday evening each week. I have a drum set there and available for auditions.
We are in the band for fun an all have full time day jobs, kids and various other commitments. We're all between the ages of 33-45 and are hoping for someone in that age range, simply for similar life styles and goals within the team, but definitely not a requirement. The three of us have been in this band for 5 years now and want someone to join us that is in for the long haul.
I've added links to our website that includes our set list, upcoming gigs, and various regular locations that we play, Youtube has a lot of our videos, and I've added our social links.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@electriccrushband
Website: https://electriccrush.wixsite.com/electriccrush
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/electriccrushband
Instragram: https://www.instagram.com/electric.crush.band/We usually don't hold auditions for everyone. We're asking people to put together a video of them playing Rush - Spirit of Radio, and then we will decide if we will have them come audition in person. We play this song every gig to showcase the band's talent. If that is something you would be willing to do, please reach out!!

I'm hoping to connect with the person who I heard on 570 News awhile back, I think spring 2024, who attended Gloucester cheese rolling. Me and three friends are going this year and I wanted to ask some questions about attending and any tips. If you know of this person and see this, please let them know that their wisdom is wanted. Thanks!
