A unique opportunity to own a large tract of land in the organized township of Dorion, Ont.
Dorion is only 30 minutes south of the town of Nipigon, and 50 minutes north of Thunder Bay.
It can be accessed seasonally via Wolf Lake Rd. then onto an old logging trail for 2.65 kms. This section of the road is not maintained by the township. The the road to the property is accessible with a 4x4 truck side by side, ATV and by snowmobile in the winter months. We drove to the property in a Ram pick-up (in two wheel drive).
Crown Land abuts three sides of the property; to the east, north and to the south. A great gateway to access 1000's of acres to hunt or explore. Even better, no neighbours!
The property terrain is not flat wet-lands, but rather diverse with a gradual incline heading towards the south section of the property at an elevation of 370 meters above sea level, and a low spot of 310 meters on the north west corner. At this low point there is a good sized pond.
The property was selectively harvested approx in 1993. A lot of mature trees were left approx 120 acres. The old logging roads are now trails that can be seen in the satellite images throughout. The tree species primarily found in this region are birch, poplar, spruce, tamarack, some cedars and pines.
