Brian Burke
Sales & Business Development Partner — Event Technology Startup
Description
I am looking for a sales and business development partner to help bring an early-stage event technology platform to market.
This is a legitimate early-stage business opportunity, not a franchise, MLM, paid training program, or “business-in-a-box.” There is no fee to participate and I am not asking anyone to invest money.
The product is a working mobile app prototype designed for the live events and hospitality industry.
About the Product
The product helps venues and event teams coordinate the operational flow of live events, including staff coordination, event information, venue setup details, and real-time communication during service.
The initial target market includes banquet halls, convention centres, hotels, caterers, wedding venues, and event operators.
The goal is to reduce confusion during live events, improve coordination between event staff, and give venues a better way to manage event-day execution.
The product is already at working prototype stage and is moving toward pilot readiness.
Who I’m Looking For
I am looking for someone with strong sales ability and, ideally, experience or contacts in the hospitality, events, hotel, catering, or venue industry.
This may be a fit if you have experience with:
Banquet halls
Convention centres
Hotels
Wedding venues
Catering companies
Event planning
Hospitality operations
B2B sales
Hospitality sales
Software sales
Business development
Existing industry relationships would be a major asset.
What the Role Involves
The right person would help with:
Identifying potential pilot venues
Opening conversations with event centres, hotels, caterers, and venues
Setting up demos
Building the early sales pipeline
Helping refine the sales approach
Gathering market feedback
Helping convert pilot users into paying customers
Identifying partnership and reseller opportunities
This is not a scripted cold-calling role. I am looking for someone who can help shape the commercial side of the business.
Compensation
This is an early-stage opportunity.
Compensation would be performance-based and may include:
Sales commission
Equity participation through a formal vesting agreement
Potential long-term leadership role if the relationship is successful
There is no salary at this stage.
Any equity arrangement would be documented properly and would depend on experience, contribution, industry relationships, and long-term commitment.
About Me
I am the technical founder and developer of the product.
My background combines enterprise technology, software development, business process improvement, and hands-on experience in hospitality and event operations.
The product is already at working prototype stage. I am now looking for the right commercial partner to help secure pilot venues, validate the market, and support commercial rollout.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal person is someone who understands hospitality or event operations and can help open doors with the right buyers.
You may be a strong fit if you can say:
“I know venues that should see this.”
“I understand who would buy this.”
“I have sold into hospitality or event operations before.”
“I can help turn a working product into a real business.”
To Respond
Please reply with:
A short summary of your background
Any relevant sales, hospitality, event, or software experience
Whether you have existing contacts in the venue, catering, hotel, or events industry
